Why do I see (regularly) questions about wether something might be ok for a straight person, with the implication it might be or make them gay? I’ve never in my life ever heard a gay person asked xyz ok or is it a bit…straight?

Serious answers or funny ones welcome.

Because I’d think that there are some who are genuinely petrified to be associated with the idea of anything remotely homosexual, even if they like it.

All the football lads just need clarification before they partake in anything, lest they have their season tickets revoked for potentially ghey behaviour... Or for using words like "lest"

Carlisle usually

I've had a lesbian friend ask me if her outfit made her look like she'd ever touch a penis if that counts

I always assume this is just people who are not entirely comfortable or secure in their own sexuality tbh.

There's not really another logical reason.

Tbf though one of my best friends always asks if clothes make her look straight, going out clothes. Just because she's fed up of having to explain when she compliments a woman she's being gay, not just happy tipsy girl

Pretty much this. I think they’re probably looking for someone to justify it as “normal”.

I have noticed some people (not just men) go to great lengths and explanations over how something or somebody else is extremely point of no return ghey but they are most certainly not themselves. They need to justify their straightness with both subtle and blunt justification and comparison.

Haha I once watched a New York gay standup recall how a straight guy asked him if he should wear a Prada shirt because he didn't want to be chatted up by gays... The stand-up's droll retort was... if only it was that easy!

But a serious response about all Monosexuals (those 100% straight or gay), I turn them down when they ask for invites to my parties because they inevitably give me a list of "Oh I don't do....." which is sooooo narrow. Yawn!

Fully Bi and Versatile people, ie those who love to suck/lick and fuck both ways, are the most fun!

I’m mono. I don’t judge bi or versies. I am getting asked a lot on here if I am vers though. Maybe I need a new pink shirt

You won’t ever hear that in real life because it’s a question asked by someone deeply troubled with their own view of their sexuality, so it’s only something they’ll ask somewhat anonymously online

A Gay Guy will soon tell you, if that brown check shirt is either Gay Cowboy or Chav Estate Straight.

It’s generally the tassels that give it away
