On a blind date! Been invited to dinner by some friends that keep trying to set me up, abysmal failure so far but 10/10 for effort.

So based on previous experience should I go or just stay in and watch Netflix

I went on a blind date last year, we dated for a few months but agreed it wasn’t going anywhere. Distance to travel and busy work / home life but she was a lovely girl and wouldn’t struggle to get dates.

So you could get lucky and find she’s quite special.

Go. I went for lunch 4 months ago with a guy I’d barely chatted with although I had met him in person. 4 months later we’re still dating and making plans for a few months ahead.

You just never know when it’s going to work out. There was no ‘instant click’ but it’s uncanny how compatible we are even with an age gap.

Personally I see it like its like a free lotto ticket.

It might get you nothing or it might get you a wonderful experience.

Often with these things it's what you can make out of it yourself.

I am biased tho. I have 3 kids. Any excuse for a meal out without them is taken instantly

Update on last night's blind date:

Friends (I'll loosely call them that for now) organised a dinner and attempted to set me and Fiona (name changed for privacy reasons) up as a blind date. Initial reaction nice sparkling eyes unfortunately it then went down hill rapidly. Firstly she allowed 'friends' dog to give doggy kisses (her description mine was allowing dog to slobber all over her). Then I discover she love and has several dogs (I'm not a fan), conversation then meandered over to politics (yes I know politics, religion etc should never be discussed but it was) to discover she's an ardent brexitier - game over.

Meal was pleasant, conversation lively but as a set up...........

Coming to the conclusion these dinner dates my so called friends are for their entertainment and feels much more like the guardians lunch across the divide column.

So onwards in my search for fuck knows what
