i agree, but if hes guna throw a hissy fit whenever things dont go his way ? for team spirit etc etc were better off without him, stfc will be around long after pdc has gone, whoever takes over ? will enherit a good bunch of players ok

the teams good enough to get into the championship, just need a decent manager to get us there, sumone who wont keep throwing his toys out of the pram if things our not to his liking lol

the guys a fascist mad as a box of frogs heid the ba ... but what a player one o the best I ever seen grace the hoops and probably quite a genuine guy to boot... think Swindon will miss him but they were only ever a stepping stone for Paolo weren't they?

Italy,it's true,but this was probably more to do with his non conformity,rather than a reflection on how good a player he was.

Thought I'd woken to an April Fool's joke on hearing Sunderland have appointed di Canio on a two and a half year contract as head coach.

I had to check this on the BBC site for confirmation and it us true.

Watch out for the fireworks and good luck Mackems wonder how long he will last.

Sunderland are still going down. Stupid sacking and stupid appointment. No disrespect to Di Canio but with under a quarter of league games to go, it's really down to the players to pull their socks up and graft out results and Di Canio doesn't have the relevent experience at this level.

I wonder why chairmen even bother hiring managers.

as a die hard swindon fan, i hope hes a success at sunderland and keeps them up !!! we were all gutted when he left and our form since his departure has proved how much we miss him
