"Who is the most famous person you’ve met and what were they like "

I met King Charles III once when he visited where I worked in Orkney Isles. I am loathed to say it, but he was rather lovely. When he took me into the toilet I wasn't sure what to do...

Tony Hart once asked me for directions in an hotel foyer and was a real gentleman.

I've met Alex Higgins a couple of times and had a long conversation with Terry Griffiths and Dennis Taylor although Dennis did most of the talking about people we both knew.

Derek Dougan at a car show and Steve Collins and his kids sat down beside me in the food court on the ferry to Holyhead. He was very chatty.

An Irish actor called Patch Connolly who was in Shaun of the Dead used to visit his sister next door to my grandparents every month or so and always stopped for a chat.

A friend was on holidays in Italy about 20 years ago and met Denzel Washington with his family in a pizza restaurant one night.

He took a shine to my friend's autistic son and sent a car the next day to pick him up and he spent the entire day with Denzels kids at their villa.
