When you have some time spend a couple of hours thinking of some questions you might ask then put them in the search forum subjects box, You will get hundreds of replies on the threads, Its quicker then waiting for people to post on any future threads you might start, After that just join in on some threads to get yourself noticed

Then do that.

Just be aware that no matter how many profiles you read and compose a delightful 100 word message to, you may never get a reply.

Make sure you read the age range they are looking for, if they are even looking for men (some aren't!), and other details in the profile text that may rule you out. Good luck
