couple, us we him her.

Good ladies of fab, if you don't mind discussing this?

What type of HRT are you on and has it worked for you?

I have tried tablets which worked for about a year then needed to up dosage which then caused other problems.

Recently tried the patch which was a blooming nightmare constantly coming off.

I've not quite got to full HRT yet. I keep reading good things about Hormone Happy though. I'm going to give it a try

Pills and yes they have helped even out my mood and memory. I notice when I don't take them.

I was on HRT before lockdown.

I had the merina coil and I had the gel. The gel is definitely the way forward!.

I tried the HRT patches but all they did was make me bleed heavy for 2 weeks so came off them….. I just use Menopause tablets from Holland & Barrett which has eased some of the symptoms

I've been lucky and not needed any HRT. I do take starflower oil capsules to help with mood swings though

Chams or Socials

I take Tibolone HRT tablets which is prescribed for those with endometriosis - been on them for 6 years since I was given Prostap injections to induce a chemical menopause prior to hysterectomy. GP wants to change but it works really well for me

I got the patches which are supposed to stay on for a week. They came off after a few hours.

I gave up and am still a fire breathing hot and sweaty dragon.

Just started patches 50 and had no problems with them coming off. They made me a bit loopy for the first couple of weeks but they’re settling down now. Im on the mini pull too so no other side affects so far but it’s early days.

I’ve managed so far without anything even though it was offered. I’ve recently thought that maybe now is the time to start to consider it

I’m on Evirel 75 patches and Utrogestan pills for progesterone. Best thing I ever did. No woman should suffer. A man wouldn’t. X

I couldn’t get on with the patches.

I’m on a continuous tablet now which is working really well. I had breakthrough bleeding up until the age of 62 which was really annoying as I felt I’d done my bit for Mother Nature!

I also use a testosterone gel occasionally which my lovely GP was happy for me to try.

I’ve found it really beneficial for my sex drive.

I finished my menopause several years ago but for various reasons, went on HRT about 7 months ago. After increasing the gel to two, I began bleeding heavily every 2-3 weeks. I've just been advised to also increase the tablet but after being on the new dose for a week, I've just bled again . It's just seriously messing up my sex life so I hope to find the right balance soon!

I had ablation surgery last year, and not sure if it was a fluke or not, but all menopausal symptoms have gone.

I was advised against HRT as my mum has had breast cancer in the past. I was instead put on antidepressants solely for my main symptom which has been anxiety and it has been like a load lifted off my shoulders.

I didn’t realise how bad my anxiety was until the tablets kicked in, has been such a relief. My sex drive, however, has gone for a burton. But I’m not bothered about this currently as I feel so unsexy due to the bloating and the sweating that I couldn’t date/sex anyone up anyway.

My last period was in January so I’m hoping I’m near the end.

I’ve been on estrogen tablets and the mirena coil for 5 years now had no problems although my coil is ready for changing and I can tell.

I lost my libido 5years ago for about 2 years then it slowly started to come back. The past year Ive been like a dog on heat just can’t get enough! Im definitely trying to make up for

You should probably get that checked. Bleeding so much after menopause is not normal

I'm on Ellest Duet, which is a 2 hormone version and means I have monthly bleeds. This works well for me.

I tried another one before this and it made me bleed for 3 months

I think it's just a case of finding what works for you.

Not sure if it's relevant but I had stopped having periods 2 years before starting HRT and had tried alternatives beforehand with no joy.

Menopause is complex and different for each of us. Having a good GP makes all the difference.

your wildest dreams,

I’ve used various patches, everol, fem7 and now on estrodot due to difficulties getting my fem7, and Utrogestan daily.

There are still things not right but I’m way better than without

I used to take these.

Then was put on HRT. Omg I was starving all the time, so went onto oestrogen only. Things improved a bit. Increased dose - bled for a total of 5/6 months. Came off and just had to cope

Yes, this is true. My GP asked me to book an appointment if I'm still getting bleeding after a month on the new dose. So far, it's happened once

couple, us we him her.

Thank you for your input ladies.

I've tried some herbal stuff before trying her. I tried black kohosh, sage and starflower. None have which have made no difference whatsoever. I'm just fed up feeling like a hot, sweaty mess. I carry a handheld fan around with me when at work. Sometimes my hot flashes are so bad I feel like I'm going to pass out! I'll try the patches again and see how I go.
