That you’ve been and you’d strongly suggest everyone visits at least once in their life.

Could be a restaurant, pub, festival, hotel, country, resort, beach, visitor attraction or anything else

Let’s have your recommendations and the reasons why

Paradise, Herts

Without bringing the thread down and going into detail there’s one place in Poland I think everyone should see if they can. Only once though. Everyone needs to feel the sheer horror and silence and know the story of what went on there. Worst thing I’ve ever done but needed to do it.

On a lighter note everyone should visit Devon. Best county in the country

I can't narrow it down to one sorry.

Route 50 In Nevada 'the lonely highway'. It's just amazing the view in every direction, immense.

Bourbon Street New Orleans, the Halloween parade festival thingy-wotsit. Just the vibrancy and energy of the place.

I disagree. It should have been burned to the ground not turned into a "theme park". We all know the horrors that occurred there. Do we really need to view the evidence. Some might argue that it serves as a reminder and might prevent history repeating its self but it hasn't. We've had a fair few racial genocides since then. This of course is just my opinion. I'm sure many will disagree with me and I'm cool with that.

Stoke Mandeville. And see and listen to the spinal injury unit and be truly inspired and appreciate what you've got for a few days. Inspiring.

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

When I went to Hungary their Hungarian?Jewish museum was amazing & upsetting.

They had a diesel tank in the foyer part as you go in... it totally caught me off guard! The diesel ripped into your nostrils & made your eyes water. Not quite the sinus cleaner I was looking for????

The museum was like a square tower block you progressed through.

It's amazing to think the depths people will plummet in wartime.

Me & some mates were supposed to all go out drinking. We got to our hotel rooms & didn't go out. I sat in my room nearly crying & called a relative on my mobile. I spoke to them for 1/2 hr. Boy did I have a huge roaming bill.

Despite that food throughout the trip was amazing & visiting one of their public spas/saunas/pool which they are famous for was certainly an experience.

Hours later I was still perspiring toxins & my face was beetroot for hours.

I wouldn’t call it a theme park but I did read a very good article years ago exploring exactly this topic

Should it be left to go back to nature or flattened or preserved for future generations.

The only real answer was that whatever the decision it should come from people indirectly or directly linked to the horrors that took place at the camp

Its on my bucket list.

On a lighter note, everyone should visit the Isle of Man. Even better when the TT races are on.

.

How can you drop that political 'cooey' after the word Auschwitz?

Can you imagine I gave you this little yellow badge '' whenever I addressed you, no exception? Maybe it's time to stop. pt

Lives in Preston, Eng

Cambodia.

It is 15 years since I was there but the impact that country had on me still lasts.

I cried a lot whilst there. Tuol Seng and the photos are burnt in my brain and all politicians should have to witness the lasting devistation caused by landmines and political inaction.

But I also marveled at the beauty of Angkor Watt, ate and laughed with wonderful people who were determined and kind.

Galapagos but with reservation. Hypocritical seeing as I've been and loved it I realise.

The islands are very distinct from one another and of course the wildlife is amazing!
