Throughout the Premier League, the officiates and VAR officials have both made some obsurd decisions from the get go!

If you are watching the PL then do you think the VAR should be improved? My thoughts are if the VAR are automated abroard, why isn't it over here? VaR should be 100% be automated to make the decisions in matches much easier!

Thoughts on this?

There definitely needs to be some consistency but calls for replays are over the top.

The use of it in the FA Cup is total bollocks

Yes it should be more like abroad especially after last week's farse but still needs a human element I don't think a computer can see if a player has intent or not or to see if its a professional foul or just an accident

What do you mean by automated?

The biggest problem with VAR IMO is not the fallibility but the fact that it has removed the spontaneous joy of celebrating a goal.

Even if it was flawless, it makes the game that little more soulless.

I think it's a tough one with so many calls being subjective. What is a handball? What is a penalty? What is a red card? And because it's all down to interpretation, the refs are going to be inconsistent with their decisions where some can go for and some can go against which annoys the hell out of fans.

Compare it to cricket and an LBW for example and the ball either pitched in line or it didn't, it hit the pad in line or it didn't and it hit the stumps or it didn't. And it allows for margin of error through "Umpire's Call" which everyone acknowledges and gets on with. It's far more black and white in getting the correct decision.

I think semi-automated offsides were used during the world cup. Not sure how it works but apparently the Prem Clubs rejected using it at the start of the season.

London/Sussex/Surrey/Berks/Hants

Refs are human, humans make mistakes. So we give them VAR to help.

Who do we put in the VAR room?

Refs.

Makes sense.

I bet Howard Webb uses cut and paste for his apologies, he's writing so many.

Scrap VAR and go back to everyone slagging off the officials. Oh wait, same difference …

somerset

needs to look at how rugby is refereed and adopt then the problem is solved ... var will become good once all is ironed out ... we should hear the refs we should hear the var team too it will keep them on there toes as what was released audio wise was a shamble's

the has been too many bad decisions and by that i mean clear as daylight decisions not the near missed stuff ... mr klopp never demanded a reply thats the media he just said it and also said but that will never happen ...so media blowing it up again..

also why should refgs getaway with it who are they accountable to? and why were they sending refs to middle east knowing they had games the weekend and the wonder why rumours start about backhanders and cheating ...
