Has it allowed you to update? Some manufacturers need to engage with Google, before device tailored updates are available.

The updates offer new features, including security options. But all devices only get them for a limited period

I'm on Android, couldn't tell you what version, its the version it came with

I never do updates my phones memory processing speed and battery lasts far longer without them

I can understand that.

. Though some upgrades do fix battery etc problems

They can do tweaks that improve performance. It may be worth looking at feature improvements, to see if anything appeals.

I don't think 14 has anything amazing for me, over 13 but we're all different. There's a few things for fitness tech and app integration, which don't affect me, for example.

No, it didn't update but I knew that when I bought it "

I think that some versions will suit some more than others

I don't understand many of the features and put up with some, as I give up trying to work out what they are and turning them off

My Motorola only updated to 13 a few weeks ago so I'm expecting it to be many months before they roll out an update to 14, if they ever do.

Motorcycle were very slow with them, to a previous model that I had. I loved the shake to light the torch gesture on it

I miss the days when the Android version was some sort of cake... They don't publicise them any more, but Android14 is 'Upside Down Cake'- 13 was 'Tiramisu'... Going on the cake type I think I'll have to stay on 13 for now
