Is disgusting. I'm on a liquid only diet due to a health disaster and so went against all my instincts and tried 1/3 of a bottle of it for lunch. It's a big NO

Please post ideas for decent, "light", low fuss liquid only meals

And I apologise to Joe Beans for letting such a liquid past my lips

I'm sorry you're faced with this dilemma Mrs KC. Rest assured, my opinion of you has not been changed due to it not being your choice

Are you allowed protein drinks?

The clear whey is quite nice, although someone of them do have a slightly mecidinal taste x

Yeah, so long as not containing dairy (or specifically, lactose).

Lots of vegan protein shakes that taste amazing. The my protein vegan clear whey and PHD do a vegan section as well which is really nice, the salted caramel is my fave but it is quite sweet

Yes, trying to minimise sugar intake because a lot of liquid-y things seem very over sugared. I also don't like über sweet things.

I didn't sign up for this

Some of the meal delivery companies do food for people with problems similar to yours. I don't know if they'd be liquid enough for you though.

Wiltshire Farm is one.

This might go against the low fuss, but you could make your own chicken broth with selection of vegetables and blend it until smooth.

It would probably be much healthier than many options in stores.

Yes, no lumps and just trying to keep the sugar to a minimum.

Thanks. I will be on this "diet" indefinitely so trying to imagine some different things to try and sup (slowly). Also heating stuff up at work is very challenging because the kitchen is away from my office and I'd have to cross a busy student area, by wheelchair, with hot stuff.

I don't want to be liquid only

No I bet you don't .

You might have to invest in a wide necked flask for work.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

"

I recommend Kleen Kanteen wide neck insulated flasks... the 32oz size fits in a cup holder.

And I'd go for very finely blended broths and soups if I were you, Mrs. I know that's not really low effort but could be worth it.

Sending hugs

What about those soups in cartons or tubs that are in the chilled section? You could blend them and take them in a flask to work.

Did you buy the premixed huel drinks? I found them disgusting

Bulk powders do their own rip off brand. Much cheaper and powdered version

I find if I have it quite watery and add some sweetener it’s much better. It’s mainly the thickness and texture of the huel shakes I didn’t like

Failing that, my protein and bulk powders both sell milled oats. Extremely fine. That, some protein powder and your good to go

Egg white protein powder is great alternative to whey since when has lactose, egg white has zero sugar or lactose and much better bio availability of the protein than most vegan powders if going the protein powder route

Yeah I thought I'd try a single pre made bottle of Huel, before forking out on the powders or a multipack. I won't be buying it again!

I used to work in the pharma industry, where they made bespoke TPN for people who are fed through tubes. I've got a mind to call them up and ask for a recipe

I think once we make it to the weekend, we'll have to have a batch cooking of thin/non lumpy soups and yes, get a decent flask thingy. We have proper big flasks, like 2L, but that's a big big when I struggled with 1/3 of a bottle of Huel. Something that fits in my wheelchair cup holder would be marvellous (I already have a thermal cup for that, but that's for tea only!)
