Sorry for the naive question but, I’ve heard that in cruises swingers will put a pineapple sticker or similar on their cabin door to make it known to others that they swing and welcome visitors. Is this true or an “urban myth)”?

Also the pampas grass thing, fact or fiction?

Somewhere In The Ether…

I think such visual markers are most likely an urban myth for the most part.

Certainly, the likes are sometimes cited by the tabloid press on particularly slow news days as a ‘sure fire’ method of detecting if swingers are present in the neighbourhood.

Deepest darkest Peru

On a caravan break with the kids in august I walked past a caravan that had a print out of an upside down pineapple on it

The facade of my house is covered in pineapples. And the lawn has been taken over by pampas grass. No one ever knocks

So what happens…whoever knocks gets invited in regardless of looks or being the right sex?!

And if you knock, do you have to go in regardless of looks or being the right sex!

I think it’s a myth

Just get out on deck and not spend your holiday trawling the corridors searching for mythical pineapple stickers

It depends if it’s a swingers cruise or not
