That looked exactly like his wife’s…. I was 15 and it was really creepy.

Yep same back in the early 80's

Non of the barber shops would do it so had to go to a proper salon.

Sitting by the window with all the curlers thingys in my hair when all my mates walked past the window banging on the glass shouting and taking the piss.

Huh jokes on them I looked wicked cool after with my wet look gel and comb.

I had a spiral perm and they even did my fringe. It wasn't pretty.

I also got a pixie cut. I wanted to look like the Gwenyth Paltrow in sliding doors.
