it could be for a whole host of other reasons, say for instance....ooh she's on U C and they've decided to sanction her money....(disclaimer not saying this is the case).

I have had addiction issues myself, but my go to isn’t to judge someone on here asking for money, as in need of money for drugs.

Priorities and all that!

If I was that person and it was a genuine ask, I'd sell anything/everything I could to feed my 3 kids before anything else.

That is only relevant if she bought the phone today and ordered internet today. Lots of people have items they bought before running out of money
