I've no issue with a pref for older women, I prefer a man to be younger than me but I'd not message one saying ...you look great, for your age/I've always wanted someone your age/your age turns me on. I think thats what is annoying, well, it is for me.

It doesnt have to be stated, the fact you're contacting them says you like it. You dont have to justify why you're attracted to older women though, it's your thing

I don't think it's double standards. Threads often go a certain way based on the tone of contributions. I think that if you post in the forums you need to be aware that you will get different opinions to your own or that a thread might go differently to how you anticipated.

For me as a strapping young lad, there's something hot about an older woman. I guess society usually suggests younger women go with older men so it's probably something to do with the opposite of that. I'm no Freud but it's hot!

As with any preference - it really depends how you state it. Men who message "I've always wanted to be with an older woman" makes me feel like I'm ticking a box for them. That's not appealing. I want to be appreciated for me, not just because I'm ancient.

Age is just a number really, and it’s all about the person.

I’ve been with women both a little older, and much older than me and we had a lot of fun together.

Conversely, I’ve been with younger women and had fun too.

It all comes down to mental and physical attraction and compatibility.

That all said, I’ve been with more women who are older than younger, but that’s just because I’ve always gotten on better with women older than me than my age or younger

I don't like it when people add 'for your age' to anything when they're talking to me. I'm not particularly bothered by being old/older and I'm quite happy if people find me attractive but I don't really like my age being the sole reason they want to interact with me

I love older women, been with a fair few and dated a woman in her late 40s for a year

But They go 1 of 2 ways

Really carefree and just want to have fun and enjoy life

Bitter and jaded from a bad choices when they were young

Find the fun ones
