Covent Garden

Gentlemën, Lådìes, Nøn-Bínarìes and Persons of Interest...

Øctober is imminent and the effervescent Åutumnal breezes are not far behind. It's almost that time of year where we embrace the dancing shadows cast from flickering scented candles in dimly-lit living rooms.

Do you have your favourite candle? Or perhaps a selection of wax melts, aromatic oil burners, scented sticks, room sprays and diffusers?

Are you in it for the scent or the mood or the ambience? Embrace the dawn of a new season!

I can’t let autumn commence until after I’ve had my last holiday of the year in three weeks time. Then I shall bring my favourite Jo Malone candle out

Candles are a waste of time, you want your house to smell nice, but gel wax. Luckily the mrs makes it so we’ve loads.

My favourite scent. Id have to say English pear and freesia.

And for those of you wondering, yes the Joe Malone one.

Byredo Chai Tea is the most perfect autumn home scent. This scent filling my home makes me feel cozy, warm, and as if I was wrapped up in thick blankets in front of a fireplace.

I plonk tealights into groups of pretty coloured glass jars or the stained glass effect ones and go for the flickering coloured ambience. Too much scented stuff makes me sneeze or wheeze.

I diffuse lemon oil in between my kitchen and bathroom to make up for the lack of windows (and those are the rooms where smells invariably happen). Otherwise not.

I like the sweet scents and always go for Spiced Pumpkin for Autumn. Nothing like lighting a bunch of scented candles after you've just gutted and cleaned the entire house.

I like autumnal scents that are more woody, musky, pine kinda vibes. I’m allergic to cinnamon so winter/festive spice is a big no no for me

Liz Earle have just released their limited edition warm cedarwood and frankincense candle and it’s gorgeous.

I like to collect the pubes of my lovers and immortalise them in a melted candle. Then when autumn appears I get that beautiful aroma of burning hair and it reminds me of past antics

It's so romantic and dreamy. This is the sort of unhinged daydreaming people love.

I have Myrrh and Tonka wax melts for my wax burner lamp, that smell like Jo Malone.

I'm going to order something else soon but I need a trip to Dunelm to have a sniff of their Yankee Candles.

Next had some nice-smelling diffuser stick thingies in.

Not sure how long the fragrance lasts but you can get refills.

I'm a bit wary of candles.

I prefer wax melts over lighting candles and I tend to go for more summer scents. I’m not a huge fan of the spiced ones like cinnamon etc.

Nope nope and Nope. I have fairy lights strung all year round that I turn on at whim though, and lots of pretty solar lights in my gardens. Candleness aggravate my breathing.

No, as long as you’re not waving a cinnamon scented candle in my face i think I could just about deal with it

I have a vanilla diffuser in my hallway. A pumpkin spice plug in my lounge. The candles I burn are winter berry. Then I have a bergamot that I use in my bathrooms and bedroom that remind me of being at the spa. I love scents

Do love a candle or wax melts. Something about them burning when it’s cold out and the nights are drawing in.

Vanilla, black coconut or caramel pecan swirl are my favourite scents
