Actually no. That's not true. After a few drinks during the festive season I always make a christmassy toastie. Lots of different types of cheese. Sourdough bread. Roast turkey or chicken. Gravy to dip it in.

If I'm feeling squiffy then I'm not one to start cooking. Instead I prep' a small cheese platter: Comté, Vacherin, Manchego and some strong cheddar; quince paste, ice cold grapes, fig jam and earthy charcoal biscuits.
