I’ve never used one personally so cannot verify as to their efficacy; has anyone here ever had a go? " They are actually quite good for forearms, it’s just that they build a different type of strength as oppose to building muscle | |||

Full kudos to him but the look on his face as he used it was much akin to someone straining particularly hard on a toilet | |||

Equipment such as resistance bands, Ab rollers and Bullworkers are well known and certainly, during lockdown, sales of such shot up ten fold after gyms were closed. Good folks: If you have used any alternatives to free weights, what have you tried and how would you rate it? " Uphill wheelchairing. Brilliant for the shoulders, upper back, core and triceps. | |||

" Lifting my neice and nephew over my head when they were little , or bench pressing them. Decent workout but noisy and I got tired before they did | |||

"I saw an odd device on one of the shopping channels a few months ago. It resembled some scales which when one stands upon, vibrate and apparently (so the viewer was promised) burn calories like you wouldn’t believe. Efficacious? I know not but it was rather funny to watch them demonstrate it whilst trying to talk at the same time " Probably as effective as those electrical pad things that 'stimulate the muscles'. Gives you a six pack while you're sat on the sofa. | |||
