Science types are now claiming that early Neanderthals coexisted with homo sapiens rather than us evolving from them. They even mated together and crossed species meaning that neanderthal genes are present in some humans today. Tom has always known this. You only have to look at some people and you can tell. Do you know a neanderthal,?

What's going on here guys. It's all over the news

Neanderthals get a very bad press. They were very successful, had stone tools and a well developed culture.

I'd be happy to know one

Modern humans have mated with other hominid species numerous times according to the genetic data, there's even ghost dna from a hominid that we have no fossil records of. Just the remaining dna from interbreeding long ago.

The percentage of neanderthal dna in humans varies, more in European, less in African or Asian, which is understandable given where they lived.

It's a fascinating subject isn't it.

It's interesting that a lot of people think of Neanderthals as near savages. Homo sapiens sapiens is hardly setting the gold standard

East Asian has the most neanderthal dna with roughly 2.5% and having about 12% to 20% higher ancestry than European with their roughly 2% dna. African has almost none (but not quite zero!)

Sagittarius A

My father-in-law used to claim this and that all white Europeans were interbred with Neanderthals.

Hence why I ripped the chicken off the bone with my teeth the way I did. 'like a viking'

But beating him at dominoes was pure luck.
