How many times have you sought a meeting that day with an Ad or Status update "meet now", "meet tonight" or " meet today" and got what you wanted?

Does it work everytime, half the time or hardly ever but it's worth a shot?

I've put up ads for meets with no success. That is, I've had loads of responses but every single one was not what I was looking for. I think some see an ad from a single woman and just respond without looking at the profile at all.

So, pretty standard response on here then! LOL

Yes - should say we've had to take them down fairly quickly as the inbox fills up rapidly, so wouldn't want to have one up for too long.

That's the same experience as me . They see add is looking for single male and think that's all there need to be . I have given up meeting on this site now and am just chatting for now

I don't usually have problems getting meets the conventional way on here - do get lots of interest which is entirely outside my profile, but the ad a meet facility is useless to me. Just brings a lot out of the woodwork who, perhaps, would not message me normally. They usually begin with 'I know I don't fit your profile preferences but as you're looking for a meet ...' as if I am only looking for a meet if I put up an ad!!

What the hell else would I be on the site for? It is on my profile that I am looking to meet anyway!

We have better success using the chatroom or messaging people via email.

We've used the "meet today" facility and have received offers.

None of which we have taken up as both parties weren't compatible.

But we have posted up two meets for next month and have received positive interest from people so fingers crossed

We have never even considered a last minute meet. It's always a slow build up for us. We aren't considering it either but always curious to hear about different ways to play the Fab game

I'd imagine a lady or a couple wanting a single guy should never need to use it as they would have 100's of guys messaging them in the first place !

It's just a quick way of seeing who's available. Most of the time we have single men blocked to prevent the 100's of messages thing.

I got someone asking if I did bareback, one on a joint membership and 2 over my age preferences - by over 5 years. I got a bit cheesed off and decided to do forums and the tv tonight instead

It's quite good to use if your going to a club to see who's going. And also to say hi and arrange to have a drink before hand which means your not standing around at a club on your own!
