We only ever wore clarkes shoes as kids, a new pair to go back to school in in september and a pair of sandals with a bar across for the summer lol and one going out pair that lasted all year

We didn't have much money as children Our shoes had the toes cut out in summer when they were a little too small, to make them into sandals of a sort. Clarks shoes did last well though.

That advert was about when my Goddaughter was going through a stroppy stage and whenever she started we would come out with that phrase. We still say it about her now and she's 27

The original ad is older than that. I remember it well and in her demented state my mother still uses it about me.
