MK grid plus switch

Another one for the sparkies,

We got a couple of MK grid plus switches, and metal back boxes, they did not have any metal front plates in stock so the boss just said plastic would do. But the front plate does not fit nicely around the edge of the back box as they are surface mounted boxes. So i am the metal front plates are a different design, ?

No the plastic won’t fit on the metal box as it’s a different design

It’ll still be fine as it’s covering the connections as per bs7671

It’ll just look shit

Thanks, i will be fitting them tomorrow, they are in a plant room so not so bad, i will know to get the metal fronts next time.
