Nope its not sex ,while i drink socially the odd glass of wine first time i have got hammered in 6 years .

Any tips how to deal with the suspected hangover in the morning.

There is no cure and all remedies are placebo, if at best.

THe only thing you really can do is drink water now and sleep it off. Laying on your back with your face to the ceiling helps with the headaches a little. Dunno why, just personal experience.

Lucosade Sport hits the spot, with a couple of paracetamol. A fried eggy sammich, over easy with ketchup helps soak up the excess acid. Save the expensive bacon for lunch just in case you need to speak to goddo.

Egg sammich you mean like fry ups? Bad idea. That will definitely increase the vomit factor. Although.. Speaking of.....

If you're still d*unk and about to go to bed, throwing up on purpose actually helps a lot the next day

Don't drink on an empty stomach. Dairy can line it. Don't drink to fast and consider drinking from a water bottle in between if you are drinking at too fast a rate (this will help you dehydrate as you go too!).

You can drink yourself down if you get up early enough.. ie 'hair of the dog' (ie stagger it rather than have it in one go - you only get a hangover when your body knows for sure you have stopped.) This might seem gross but it does actually work. Obviously have a fresh drink though!

Water at night is good, but so is sleep so just keep it by your bed rather than get up to pee all night maybe.

They say eat carbs when you are hungry (for some sugar). Energy will help too - so coffee? Prepare to doze or sleep again later!

Occupy your mind with something fun. I like tea. Orange (Vit C) is good - but acidic too, you might feel it in your guts. C is in other things too, like spinach and cheese toasties.

This ^ and I also heard putting wet towels around your feet in a plastic bags, because dehydration caused by overheating during the night.I never we tried it though!

They talk about hangovers being worse because they disrupt pure sleep though - so I wouldn't drink loads and loads of water if it's going to make you uncomfortable or force you out of bed (esp if that's an issue for you anyway).

Better probably is to drink enough, then put a glass by your bed you might want to sip from half-sleeping. I don't drink as much or often as I once did, that's the way I do it now when I indulge in alcohol.

Water, fuck loads of water. Paracetamol. And sleep. But not too much sleep, I find sleeping a huge amount only makes me feel worse. Also, fresh air and a walk.

I had about 13 glasses of prosecco last night along with a few other bits of random booze and this morning I was absolutely fucked. But I feel much better now I've got all my water and fresh air.

A pint of water after every few pints. Before bed, glass of water and 2x paracetomol.
