I don't understand the reactions? Are you saying guys do it all the time, too?

It doesn't have to matter for me to wonder about why. Like, it doesn't matter why the last second of a really vibrant sunset flashes green before completely disappearing, but it still made me wonder why that is.

Women do not constantly get new profiles. What is happening if you look closely is that they get rid of the old ones.

Often they are men pretending to be women, and they delete when get blocked or banned.. or just start a new one to get fresh interest.

But round here men are forever making new profiles.

Okay. So we established there are men doing this. Let's establish the amounts of times I have seen women doing this, which is more than I can remember. At least 20 or so in the past year, at least whom I know of. EIther it's in the profile "new profile, verify me again" or I just recognise the same pictures.

I can see how some guys do it to go around some blocks or something, but I think this reason fits women?

So to the people on this thread you have had more than one profile: Did you all just do it to go around blocks?

Soooo many reasons. But I think the main is overexposure and wanting to shake off the trail of having been added to a gazillion hotlists. Like seriously, even the most average of women will be on the crosshairs of hundreds of people across the country. So basically to maintain some privacy.

But yeah men and couples also delete and rejoin. I think when you first open an account it's a high but then the realities of the fabs grind eventually make it a low. For men it's the crickets/silence and rejections, for women it's the constant selfish waffle, objectification and abuse. You set up with a specific intention and either achieve it or realise you can't achieve it or your attempts have mixed results. You get fed up and delete. A few weeks, months or years later you have recovered, processed your previous experiences and think you can do better, so you give it another go Also some profiles are very project-specific too (come fuck my slut next weekend).

A lot of people say just hide and leave it be. I've seen inactive accounts that reignite at later dates, personally I can't leave an account alone, I find it actually addictive. So I delete for a rest. Couples accounts are easier to maintain as they attract way less attention/pressure from ill-behaved people.

Lots of reasons, for men I can imagine it doesn't look good if they've been on here for over a year with no verifications

Maybe they were seeing someone so deleted the account and made a new one when it didn't work out

Maybe they wanted to take a break from the site and then after a week or so started to miss it

Maybe they were trying to avoid someone so deleted their account and then made a new one and blocked the other person straight away (I've done this before)

You've got men blocked so you can't know who does it more loads men's profiles saying "if you remember me verify me", lots of profiles of all genders saying "this is not my first rodeo" or "know how this works".

Oh and yes men returning often say the break was because they were in a mono relationship in-between. It's like gaps in employment history, you gotta give reasons

I really wouldn't worry yourself about what anyone else is doing on here. But I can think of lots of reasons why it might happen, for starters:

They're fake profiles started by men

Too many creepy men they're trying to lose

They just pop on and off when they're horny

It's really no big deal for a woman to restart a profile - it's super easy to meet and get verified again

Do you mean leaving and come back / starting again. Guys would do the same if it didn’t take so long to get a meet from a new profile.

1. Got a boyfriend so deleted, we split up, rejoined.

2. After a bad meet, thought wtf am I doing here, deleted, came back when missed the forums

3. To get rid of a really nice verification I left for someone who turned out to be a complete dick next time I saw him.

4. To avoid someone I blocked who repeatedly set up a new profile to find me.

I thought about going in the past, but the effort of coming back is so much more for a guy and if you become single, this place is good, compared to other apps. A woman can achieve in a few months what takes a guy several years, coming off is a much bigger decision

"I just don't get it."

New women profiles get hounded by desperate men, desperate for fresh meat. Any meat.

Could be fake profiles started by a wanking man.

Might be hiding from someone.

Might be doing something dodgy and Admin deletes them.

Not my experience op, some do leave then join again. Some fakes pop up and are removed. Doesn’t seem to be just women either.

Could be that if you’re only looking for women that’s the only profiles you see?

Calderdale innit

I've been here for ten years and this is only my second profile ,apart from my couple one.

Both men & women do this though, shame Coyote isn't on maybe she could shed some light as she is regularly unlos.

Maybe they get bored ,they're up to no good and get caught out.

Or they get blocked by the same people all the time so leave and rejoin to get over the block.

They get pestered or regularly stood up and lose interest/faith in the site.

Some maybe fake profiles too

I only look for men so only notice men in my updates and they're are a few who regularly delete and pop back up within a week or so.

I don't know why they do it,but I wouldn't meet a profile that's constantly leaving and rejoining tbh.
