I nipped to my local supermarket after the gym the other day wearing the outfit in my profile pics, a polo shirt and Lycra gymshark shorts…

I got some disapproving looks and comments from some and some winks from others.

Yet ladies can go in nipple showing crop tops and camel showing shorts, yet not disapproving comments are made.

Was I right to wear them..

To expand on this a trend this year round here certainly has been younger ladies wearing a all in one extremely tight short tank top one piece usually in a skin colour and usually with no underwear.

Not being a pervert impossible to miss someone walking towards you in your eyeline wearing it.

My wife has said on more than one occasion is that really appropriate clothing to wear in Asda.

Particularly as we all keep being told all men are sexual predators.

Different perspective. A woman might wear the clothes as you describe and people say nothing because of the times we live in. Anyone showing disapproval is a misogynist if you re a MSN or a prue if a woman.

Men are a much easier target or maybe you are more sensitive to it.

He also acknowledged himself that some people seemed fine and some people disapproved, while not even considering the same concept might apply to women’s clothing. You can see from this thread that some people would also disapprove of women.

I guess the disparity might come in the volume of disproval, but personally i think there would also be disparity in the ‘ahem’ volume of what is on show. At the end of the day ladies genitals dont protrude to the same extent and therefore will always be less visible

Yes. I think a woman's genitals would have to be unusually large and the clothing a bit tighter to be as visible as a man's, because of basic differences in anatomy.

Sexism might also play a part - people might be more likely to assume sexual intent when it's a man than a woman.

All I can do is practice what I preach. I'll only go as far as the communal bins in leggings, otherwise I'm wearing something more structured over my genital area.

I'm out quite a lot with no bra, and have done for decades and the only time anyone said anything was when I was trotting back to dancing from the shop and a youngish man shouted from a car window "Can't you keep them under control" and everyone in the car laughed.

I was skinny back then with barely a handful.

I wouldn't run with a bra on now without holding them down.

Its as tedious as it sounds but still seems to feature heavily in my feeds because the algorithm wrongly assumes i am young, hip or fashionable aha

I got some disapproving looks and comments from some and some winks from others.

Yet ladies can go in nipple showing crop tops and camel showing shorts, yet not disapproving comments are made.

Was I right to wear them..

I never wear a bra and the amount of old ladies that scold me over it is fascinating

What makes you think women can wear what they want and not get comments made about it?
