Reports that the long running football show may be axed as it has lost a third of it's viewers in the last 4 years. Why is this,?

FF with Ray Stubbs & mark lawrenson was brilliantly produced and content was from all round the leagues. Now it’s very much centred around the premier league and if your lucky the flavour of the month team in the championship get a token 5 minutes

It's probably because there are more ways to consume football media and analysis these days. I think everything related to this will have dropped in views because literally anyone can have an opinion on football that more people can watch.

A result of BBC political correctness, they put a lady who can't doesn't speak well in charge & who obviously played at a much lower level.

You don't see conference player's presenting at that level yet womens football is no better if at all.

Much like Sky cooking about & losing their dream team.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, people don't accept forced views but it doesn't make them sexist etc.

Look at TV adverts, so many black people or Gay/Lesbian couples yet a vast distortion compared to actual percentage of population.

Again a forced view, it's unhealthy.

Football focus has been not very good way before Alex Scott took over….

There are various issues…. Doesn’t help it’s get trampled all over by a 12 or 12.30 live premier league or championship game or an Spfl game’

There's been many many male presenter's over the years who have been shocking.

As much as I love him to bits and he's a total legend Ian Wright has never been known for his perfect elocution.

So if you going to knock a female presenter remember that before her came many a mumbling male idiot.

But there's plenty of good female pundits and sports presenter's.

Gabby Logan, Claire Balding to name two.

Growing up in the 1970’s & 1980’s football focus was essential viewing for me and if I am home Saturday lunch time I still try to watch it.I guess it’s a sign of the times as viewing habits and Sky sports and now TNT sports probably have their own football shows that perhaps there is no need for it.Premier League games at 12.30 probably don’t help the viewing figures.

Erm… gabby Logan was an international gymnast! Alex Scott played 140 odd times for England and was probably the best right back in worlds womens football before Lucy bronze took that crown
