Watson V elementary

Loved benedict cumberpatch in Sherlock and thought it was brilliant

Then I heard about a new US version with Lucy liu playing the part of dr Watson

It sounded so completely wrong.

After watching Elementary I have become hooked and watched 4 episodes back to back last night and have arrived at the conclusion that Jonny Lee Miller is the absolute mutts nuts as Sherlock Holmes in New York!

Anyone else agree

Just don't go on the Sherlock fan boards and say that. they will tear you a new one!

I've not had the pleasure of seeing Elementary but as I enjoy crime fiction I am sure I'd enjoy it. Sherlock is, of course, awesome!

I was unsure about Elementary but got into it.

Looking forward to the next series.

Johnny Lee Miller is great in it.

I dont look at it as a Sherlock Holmes and can see why the die hard fans wouldnt like it.

I love both series and Robert Downey junior too, they all give slightly different interpretations of a very complex character

I enjoyed both but find Benedict a more convincing Sherlock Holmes. I enjoyed elementary but tend to not see it as a Holmes thing I just enjoy it for good television

Never seen the Robert Downey Jr films. Was put off by the trailers and all the explosions and action bit as thats not very Sherlock Holmes to me.

Do like Benedict thingy as Sherlock though.

Johnny Lee Miller is a fabulous actor, i like him in this i just dont like the programme, it doesnt quite hit the spot for me, which is a shame as i so wanted to like it.

ive been a sherlock holmes fan since i was a kid , and for yrs thought basil rathbone was best , but love nearly all the potraiels of him as long as they stick to the origianl style of holmes .

on a diffrent note but similer , i was watching a programme about pick pockets in london and ironically the holmes museam in baker street is one of there fav places to pick them , lol

We love Elementary, like most though it just didn't seem right. An American version !! but exceptional series.
