Can anybody recommend a hotel in Birmingham that doesn't have a guy on the door checking names etc?

If we wanted to head back to the room with more than one friend, I don't want to have to declare the amount of guests and names, you know?

Portsmouth

Not Birmingham, but I've stayed in Travelodges where you don't even pass reception to go to your room. I guess it depends on the layout of the hotel.

West Midlands

The Village Hotel at either Walsall or Dudley are completely open plan and easy for your guests to access the rooms.

Or Holiday Inn J7 M6 at Great Barr.

We've used all 3 and never had a problem.

Obviously not Birmingham but not too far.

Hope it helps.

Pretty much any hotel, walk through reception like you own the place and nobody bats an eyelid.
