Is FAB is more challenging experience for single F or M users?

Using cold hard numbers and statistical analysis alone, the platform should provide a vastly more challenging experience for single M users.

However, easily evident in the community’s shared space inc the forums, status updates etc, there are significantly more user experience complaints from single F users, which notably form less than 5% (unsourced) of the total membership.

It must be considered a noteworthy anomaly to have an extremely vocal, arguably the most vocal for complaints, being a significant minority of the community.

So considering complaints/# of users statistically, it would suggest the platform is providing a vastly more challenging experience for single F users.

So, is FAB is more challenging experience for single F or M users?

This is a genuine question and not intended to put the cat amongst the pigeons. Please try to remain polite and respectful in any replies… and please take note of the context, as this really isn’t a battle of sexes question; it’s one of user experience.

What are you hoping to achieve with the results of this scientific survey, OP?

Of those two, single men will have to work harder. That's pretty obvious I'd have thought.

Genuinely think it’s a challenge for both.

There’s this common misconception that it’s easier for single females than single males, and whilst the gents outnumber the ladies it doesn’t automatically mean that the ladies are meeting frequently.

It’s not even that hard being a man on here.

"Are you saying women complain more than men on here?"

Despite the volume of men posting about their inability to get meets...

I think that both have different challenges.

Women are more likely to get inundated by frustrated men who think this is a pick uo site.

Men probably get frustrated with a lack of replies to messages, often due to a misunderstanding of how the site operates and of women in general.

I dunno. I’m a guy. I’ll never know if I’d find it hard to be a woman in here.

Who knows in the future I might try it.

I'd say women, and I'm not basing it on ease of getting to meet people.

As a man, sure, I may have to deal with ghosting and rejection, and put it more work on my profile/pics/messages, but I'm glad I never have to face abuse (or worse, fear for my safety) - so, the worst aspects of fab are much worse for women than men.

Apples and oranges. Each experience a different set of difficulties however, it cant be that bad or those complaining would leave.

Females tend to moan about anything and everything, its no harder here than there, woman have choice and can choose above their station, they can go for younger or older, its a womans choice

Seems odd to create a criterion called 'challenging' then to compare men and women.

Re complaints etc where have you got all your figures from anyway? The one you give almost invites cliched sexism it seems to me.

Seems best to me just to focus on the main issues, but of course that gets done over and over.

I do. I have the hardest time on here. Having to read the bullshit that pops up from people.

I really should avoid it, see a name, know what kind of bullshit it is. Seems simple but it's not. You just can't avoid it easily. It's like trying to avoid the smell of shit when people have it placed right user your nose, and before you realise.

Jackpot! I was hoping someone would say this.

I’ve been involved with a couple’s account and I’ve sat with a lady friend to witness her managing her account, not easy.

It’s had me thinking that some version of a video diary ‘a week in the life of’ could be of benefit.

I’d like to believe that demonstrating to others to better understand the challenges we all experience could increase empathy within the community.

Reading

I think some females seem to attract 95% of the bad behaviour. I am not for one second victim blaming. I'm not sure why this is. I read on the forums of women getting terrible abuse and I have had off messages I think 3 times in all the time I've been here. Normally when I turn a bloke down I just get a ty for letting me know. I have no idea what accounts for this difference. It may be because I'm older. It may be that they are not that disappointed when I say no.

So for me my fab journey has been pretty good. I've met some wonderful people most of whom have remained friends even when the sex stops. But I think a few of my fab male friends would say their journey was also good.

Sorry I haven't really helped. I think fab is bad for some men and some women
