Really, is that what you really think?

My nan’s spare room.

Honest opinions.

Do you really value them?

How do you feel if somebody’s opinion is vastly different and or challenging to your own opinion/values?

I was once discussing a project I was working on and a very senior official asked my thoughts on a certain aspect to the project. I gave him my answer to which he said,

Really, is that what you really think?

I was very offended by his apparent disregard for my thoughts, even though I may have been wrong.

I wasn’t by the way, wrong that is.

Carlisle usually

I always value an honest opinion when it's asked for or relevant.

If you hate my outfit when I'm not dressing specifically for you? Irrelevant, I have no interest in your opinion.

Something negative to say with nothing constructive? No thanks.

But someone giving their opinion when it's relevant? Always a good thing, even if I don’t actully like what's said.

If you can back it up with actual thoughts then great

Most people either can’t or they don’t want to because it would upset their world view

Sometimes I think some peoples oppinion that are so different are just thrown out there for the sake of being different and causing a reaction.

Not everyone will ever agree, but honest oppinions are great. I remember them.

Also this place is cool that we have private notes to help me.

In the work place, there are no bad views, just other ways of thinking about stuff. So a bad boss would throw them away, because a good boss would encourage you to keep thinking outside the box where others will just agree with the majority.

The phrase 'In your opinion.' Irritates me.

Can we just accept that when someone says something - it's their opinion, unless they state it to be the word of God? It would save so much time.

What was it Tony Benn said. The thing about change is, you express an opinion everyone thinks you are mad. Some time passes and then all of sudden you can't find anyone who disagrees with you.

What was your first point again?

Oh... people aren't wearing enough hats!

Fab opinions.. Non judgemental but I see too often judges..

Work life.. Same as fab.. To make the dream work you need team work.

Wrong or right we should not judge.

'Senior official' was patronising, sarcastic and rude. That is my opinion and I thoroughly dislike people in positions of power who behave in that way.

I much prefer honest opinion (whatever honest means). I'd rather someone disagree with me if they truly do than just go along with what I've said. Who knows one of us might learn something new

I always state *just my opinion (even in here) because I DO feel when I talk, others think I’m trying to state some kind of law.

I want others opinions. We are not supposed to be just agreeing with each other. How do we see things differently for the better of we are stuck with a worse option of what we came up with. ?

People’s opinions are always useful, but it depends what they are about as to what extent. Opinions help us build up a picture of what is important to a person and how they might react to certain things, even the small ones.

Thinking about fab specifically someone might not be a fan of the same type of films, that’s fine it’s just one of those things and it’s not going to be too much of an issue. If they vote Tory though, that’s indicative of a mindset that I just don’t find attractive so it’s going to be a no.

It depends on context, who the person with the opinion is, if I wanted their opinion or not, etc, etc.

Friends, family and people I respect, I will generally value their opinions. If its a random, whose opinion has not be asked for, generally not.

Sometimes it will be 'when I want your opinion, I'll give it to you', or if others are asking for mine, 'do you want me to be polite or honest?'

My opinions are often seen as controversial but they are just that my opinion! Will listen to others opinions and sometimes can change mine! Not often mind x

I don't value everyone's opinions if I'm honest, some are just ridiculous, the flat word and all the conspiracies, however I'll try and see it from their point of view for the sensible ones.

We all have opinions that's human nature, if I ask for some I'll take them on board if I don't I'll probably not.

There's nothing worse than people dropping their unwanted and unasked for opinions on you.

When it comes to work, even if I don't say it, my face will.

So yes, I always give my real opinion. I try hard to be diplomatic but sometimes I'm so passionate about something that it can take over.
