Chelmsford

The Chief of Police in Norfolk has said that bungling policemen we're transporting a road stinger device when it fell off the roof of on of his vehicles and four innocent vehicles suffered punctures as a result. If a member of the public dropped something similar off their car roof then the would be up before to be up in front of the beak. What's going on here guys. It's all over the news

Sounds like it was all over the road Tom……

Is Norfolk a place in the east of England where people like boating and famous for being dumplings?

The law is the law - it has to be applied equally to all. Not only should the police set an example but, if they are seen to get away with things others cannot, the law is undermined and their job becomes harder. We need a police force that has universal consent, but nothing undermines trust in the police more than them flouting the law and closing ranks, to the point of losing that consent (as the Met just about has).

Who carries a stinger on the roof? They are big and heavy.

I’d be mor concerned when they drive away and forget the guns on the roof. I’ve seen that happen….

Somehow, you would expect police cars in Norfolk to have roof racks. Do they still use Morris Travellers?

Whaley Bridge,Nr Buxton,

Just like the armed police officer who left his revolver on the roof of the car,the next cops coming on shift didn't see it,drove off and it came off the roof at a roundabout.Luckily a member of the public saw it and handed it in(surprised the person wasn't prosecuted for possession of a prohibited firearm). If I left one of my guns out at the very least I would lose my license. One rule for them.......
