This is more a question to those with regular message inbox explosions, here or elsewhere. Have you ever had to legitimately hit the emergency "delete all messages" button, if so why, and if you can remember how many messages it was

Yeah I use it often, I probably never have more than 100 messages in there at anytime but I just have very little capacity to respond to a lot of them and all the other baloney we have to put up with on here if you do/don’t respond.

Only when I first joined, before I figured out my filters!

It's rare anyone gets a message through now unless I'm actively hunting. Even then I get to about 20 messages in an hour and shut my filters down again

Let's do an experiment. Make feet into a forum photo challenge and ask people to open their filters for an hour after posting their pictures. Bring on the wanking dead!

Oh and I had to mass delete my messages after one of the forum status games, where Mrs Knights got me to post that I had a glory hole open for a few hours.. I swear my phone was melting from all the messages I got

No, I don’t get many messages a day, and it’s usually the same people checking I’m still alive.

However, I don’t like a messy box (oh er) so I delete once I reach a certain number (I’ve usually answered them anyway).

I delete all messages on fab if it gets to 25 unread messages. But on WhatsApp I just press read all messages. On WhatsApp it’s usually got to be about 5-10 chats but with GCs and stuff obviously it’s more messages

Nah never done a mass delete and never done a status update to say we have either

I always wonder why people say they’ve done a mass delete as if I sent a message I wouldn’t be impressed if they just decided to delete them all - just read our message and delete the rest

I do hate our messages to be messy though, so often delete some to make it look neater.

I remember when I first joined fab though ,I didn't have a pic up and hardly any text and I had like 60 messages in no time.It was quite daunting .
