Arranged a meet with a guy , on the night HE suggested ( tonight ) , had a couple of messages during this week saying all is ok for tonight etc ,

Just had a message saying he can, t make it .......sighs,

We realise things can change but it does get annoying , more so as we have arranged things at our end to be able to meet on the night he suggested .....

Ho hum ,

It's a bummer but at least you weren't left waiting for him and he don't turn up. Have you got a backup guy waiting?

I guess it depends on the reason he can't make it.

He has given you plenty of notice that he can't make the meet with you tonight, which actually is a good thing. For example, you hear of single ladies and couples who can't make a meet at short notice for various reasons including for example thier child is unwell or babysitter can't make it.

If his reason is similar to that, or he's simply become unwell during the night and doesn't want to infect you with a cold/flu/cough etc then I'd say he's done the right thing.

Ofcourse if he's simply decided not to come because he's bottled it, got a better offer or a night out with his mates, well, only you and he will know that.

No back up , as we had three messages confirming all was ok for tonight and wouldn't like to keep another guy " hanging in the background " ,

As said .....we do appreciate that daily life can change etc but its also frustrating that we made arrangements to enable the meet on a night he confirmed was ok ,

but at least he did let us know , better than not turning up without informing us .

Definitely, at least you have time to find another more reliable fella. Mind you, no guarantee he'll turn up either lol

Don't have high expectations then your not disappointed.

Alternatively with the unexpected time you have together, go wild on your own show em what they missed out on

Well he let you know, so, without his version of events, it seems fine. Annoying, but these things happen.

Tired old line alert: it's not just the guys do this....

Do a "meet today" thingy - we had over 50 messages the last time we did one - very effective!

we had a guy who had messaged us and text us loads, we were so looking forward to a meet. We were due to meet at 8pm and the babysitter was on the way at 7:25 when the phone bleeped to say he couldn't make it. Gutted. But what can you do. Just so frustrating!

Meets are always a lottery, for both men and women. You never know until the deed is done whether or not they will show - or - was it worth them showing up if they did. The good guys keep me happy though, so I'll keep travelling in hope! X
