This question is specifically directed towards women...

If you met a really nice guy AND you were currently seeking a relationship and this guy fitted the bill BUT he was a crossdresser; would his crossdressing be a barrier?

What if he crossdressed in public? - Would you hang-out with him like that? Would it depend how 'convincingly feminine' he looked? Would it be because of the (possible) reaction of other people that would stop you from being with this guy you liked?

If you wouldn't have a relationship with such a guy... Why not? Does it disgust you? Does it just not look right to you? Is it just not your thing? Does it look ridiculous to you? - A joke even?

Please... Honest opinions.

I found a lover that loves to cross dress and would have been happy to go out with them dressed. They put in a LOT of effort though. I've chatted with many CDs and am happy to shop with, and help with make up etc. I find a cross dressing man that does it well incredibly attractive.

I didn't give reasons, did I? I've never been attracted to more feminine men. And I'm not someone who is into heels, getting dressed up, wearing makeup, stockings etc. Being with someone who is doesn't fit, from my perspective. Does that help?

Speaking to a number of people who were in longterm relationships when they realised they needed to transition it is often really difficult on established partners when they admit it. Some manage to make it work, interestingly includimg some partners who are straight, but most don't.

You know what... I really 'get' why many women are not into 'feminine' men... I honestly didn't ever expect ANY woman have any interest in me whatsoever when I started dressing in public... But some do... I'm thankful for that, but I totally understand why a lot of women don't like it.

I just see 'clothes'... I don't see ANY gender attached to pink or satin or silk (etc)... I just love the clothes... And the make-up... I don't dress to 'be a woman'... That's ridiculous to me... Perhaps I dress to feel more 'feminine' though... But I have a very masculine side too... Actually more so than most men lol.

Not for me. I’m just not attracted to feminine men and men in women’s clothes/underwear is a complete turn off for me. From what I’ve seen on here though there are plenty women who do like it x

I can see how clothes themselves aren't attached to gender (although I have to push myself to get past my own assumptions). And I don't see that certain items should be restricted to women, why shouldn't men enjoy them. I can find the masculine energy men bring to lingerie sexy.

But whole routine - makeup, heels, clothes etc - just doesn't interest me. Accompanying a partner who was into it all shopping or out to dinner - it carries no appeal and takes me well out of my comfort zone. I'm not the right partner for someone like that and vice versa because I can see that the cross-dressing is an important part of your life.

I remember when I was younger I was never attracted to short-haired 'manish' looking women (tomboys). Now I really like them... It's funny how things an change. I remember seeing the cranberries singer with her short hair and thinking 'yuk'! Now I look at her and think "wow!"

I'd potentially give up my crossdressing if I met someone I really liked... It would depend on the circumstances. I definitely wouldn't hold it against her if she didn't approve.

I think women have to put up with a lot from us men...

I'm like that too nowadays, I couldn't care less what my partner wore. She could wear a xena warrior princess outfit for all I care... Actually... I hope she does...

Whilst I have a physical attraction to those I have sex with it’s not related to a specific physicality.

As cliche as it is, it’s personality first, then there will be a physical aspect which differs with everyone - be they man, woman or anything in the shaded areas.

Crossdressing in public has made me appreciate women more and I feel like I know the female species a little better now, having spoken to them about 'girly' things and done 'girly things' together and chatted about 'guys' and clothes and shared make-up ideas and bathrooms and all sorts etc... I'm definitely more comfortable around females nowadays... More relaxed and at ease and more understanding what they sometimes have to endure with men... But that works both ways... ...Some women are hard for men to endure too!... What I am saying is that I think I've learned (through crossdressing) to be more understanding (from my side) so that my future relations with females will be better than they have been in times past.

...I've earned much trust with women and they have with me too... A trust I couldn't really get too when I 'wasn't' crossdressed, because when I'm crossdressed I think women don't see me as 'just another guy' with some sort of alterior motive... And when I'm crossdressed I am laying bare who I am for the world to see... I'm not pretending to be a 'macho' guy like a lot of guys do... I'm just doing my own thing and not bothering anyone as I do it.

Most men out there are amazing too... Kind and considerate when I am: 'femmed up' and not judgemental but actually protective and understanding. There are some really nice people out there in the world....

I find (nowadays) that I can talk to women about things that I couldn't before. - It's just easier now because my defences are down... Yeah I'm a guy and I cry at sad things and I like pink and flowers and lovely fragrances and cute kittens... I feel more human and I think my next relationship with a female is going to be a lot better as I've matured and am understanding them a bit better nowadays... Or rather; I think I'm learning to understand myself better these days and have found the 'balls' to be my real self.

Maybe some guys learn all this stuff without crossdressing? - But for me it was crossdressing that made a better man out of me. I think so anyway.
