Cake of choice ..

Everyone likes it. It gets more interest than cock on here. And there’s so many varieties.

So what’s YOUR cake of choice, Fabsters?

And to open it up to as wide an audience as possible can I also include things like tray bakes and dessert pies please?

Not strictly cakes but also perfect as a side to a nice cup of tea

Me? I’ll go Banoffee Pie please if we’re deviating slightly from cake.

(Oh and while you’re here: ladies, send your breasts to my inbox, fanks )

So I have a weird quirk where I very rarely eat pork products (maybe once a year?). If there was a cake of just the pastry, I'd be a happy woman. And also on my way to a heart attack.

I’m a savoury toothed person, unless a fruit crumble and hot custard is on offer, so I do consume a fair share of sausage rolls, scotch eggs and pork pies

Baked cheesecakes, or anything made with ground almonds rather than flour. I'm not coeliac, they're simply better. Flour in a cake isn't a crime against humanity, but it's a wasted opportunity to have had something better.

I am so relieved to see not many chocolate cake/brownie fans.

I'll have any and all cake/pie/dessert as long as it doesn't have chocolate flavouring - chocolate chips are good though!

If I'm out and getting a slice to go with my coffee its usually carrot cake as this is often the best option for calories and lower saturated fats. (Oh the joys of a diet and trying to lower my cholesterol.)

If I am baking it is usually coffee and walnut cake as I can then make it with enough of both as most commercial ones are disapointingly lacking.

It depends on my mood and whether it's homemade.

Either cheesecake, chocolate or lemon.

Cal will always go for Blackforest Gateaux as a first choice, but you don't often see it these days.
