I started using them a while ago. Took me ages to actually see that feature existed.

I use it to remind me if they’ve ignored/chose to not reply to a DM etc. stops me from making. A fool of myself again.

As mentioned - I use it mainly to note when people really are not into me, or what they are looking for

Saves wasted time on both sides and avoids others getting fed up of receiving unwanted messages

I used to use the notes quite a bit. Nowadays I find block is the best option.

I use it for things folk tell me in pm that I’ll probably forget. Like their name etc.

Or if I think someone is a tossbag.

I use them for lots of reasons incl if they tell me their name or if they've said something horrible to me.

As others Say..

Your "Confidential Notes" on Someone..

I use it to note those who don't reply, say they only want certain things (but not stating it on their profiles), Real Names, Contact Dets and so on.

Very handy they are. I use them mainly to remind me who does not want to hear from me (ignored and deleted earlier messages) and who I don't want to approach (no comment )

I use it all the time - for people who are attached, who bareback, who have been rude to me or put up really unpalatable statuses.

Some of them date back years and I read them and think what was I on about.

They are indispensable and a wonderful aide-mémoire. I use them extensively to keep a note of anyone who isn't a jolly good person.

I use usually to remind me of their name and if we agree to anything...I don't use for negative stuff.I find block works better

I don’t use private notes.

I haven’t got anything to write about people I wouldn’t say to them in person or on a message.

Also, if I need to write a reminder of what somebody’s name is then it’s not worth remembering.

Exactly this. For someone who can overthink, I really don't when it comes to private notes. Keeping it simple works best for me.

I chat with quite a few people, I would struggle to remember everyone's names. The menopause and brain fog doesn't help

We use it constantly. It's an easy way as a couple to notify the other what we think, without taking time out to talk about it.

We use them to note reasons why we stopped speaking or didn’t take it further - saves us so many times when we get messages in or think about saving a message.

I have a fantastic memory for pics seen too and when new people set up new profiles they are always surprised when I say that I’ve seen the pic before

Oh and I'm dyslexic so I do put people's names there, else I'll spell them wrong if there are variations of their name.

I use it to record detailed notes about each encounter. That way I can create an effective performance review for the person, maybe plot some points of interest on a graph. All sexy like

"I’m right there on that same page with you. "

Although I did once convince Nero that I keep a spreadsheet detailing all the women I’ve flirted with on Fab so that I wouldn’t forget names, dates or preferences.

Too much hard work for me but others seem to like the function.

If I need to block, I don't need reminding why.

If I message and they don't answer, I'll get a reminder if I try again, so won't.

If I've seen someone worthy of bookmarking (good or bad reasons) then there's the hotlist.

If I know someone well enough to have exchanged off site contact details then they'll be in my phone.

Fab doesn't need to give me more work to do. This is for fun, socialising and arseing around in the forums. Not setting up records of people I've encountered.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I make notes of all the places they've mentioned so I can triangulate their home address.

For innocent reasons. Like delivering surprise cake and stuff.

Thanks.

It's not very obvious is it, maybe it should be highlighted (eg yellow) so it's easier to see.

I make notes for people I'm not sure about usually based on forum comments. Because I find it difficult to remember profiles.
