"from being more confident? Blindness it a bitch " Yes it is but was your confidence located in your sight? I understand losing confidence when you have a big life event like losing your sight but does the confidence have to remain lost?

"My arse is!! Well that and society's perception of what is attractive. " Even with sight, it was always more about the person inside that mattered

What do you lose by holding onto the fear?

"I am a confident person but I believe we do all have our own particular comfort zone nevertheless. Stepping outside of this is a little difficult for me, especially with regard to swinging, as I feel I may not have enough experience to remain in complete control or that I may disappoint someone by simply changing my mind and not wanting to continue with something I am experimenting with. But if you are upfront from the start surely it becomes their problem "

"Myself The biggest barrier of them all. Biggest or only? I vote only" People may state extrinsic factors which they feel contribute to a lack of confidence or even facilitate a boost to confidence... but the feeling of confidence is most certainly intrinsic.
