B. I will eventually ask for help, but it will be when I've struggled and squirmed for a while usually.

B

I have such a problem of asking for help and accepting help when it's offered, I've had to explain to my friends that I do appreciate their offers but there's something in me which just won't let me say yes so I struggle on trying to do things my own stubborn way

Definitely asking for help but I did recently open up to a guy I’m seeing and it was the best thing I’ve done.

‘I love you’ will also be difficult and not something I’d be rushing to say and I’ll probably wait until he says it first.

I say all of these.

C can be difficult as people usually put a particular interpretation on it of the phrase meaning "I want to be with you forever in an exclusive relationship that will transcend time" but with an expectation that it is also a lie intended to just get someone's knickers off. People can get very upset if it isn't said, and very upset if it is said...

In english we have the one word "love", but in greek there are different words for different kinds of love. The usual connotations of C are of the greek word "eros" - passion, lust, pleasure, sexual longing. And when people have been in a relationship for a while, of "pragma" - everlasting love rooted in romantic feelings and companionship.

In contrast, I feel that I am more likely to express love for multiple people, meaning an emotion of "philia" - intimate, authentic friendship, with shared core values, which may be platonic or romantic. So I may say "I love you" without meaning either that I want to live with you forever or that I fancy the pants off you, but instead that I have a feeling of deep respect, mutual understanding and that our lives are enhanced by our knowing each other...

C used to be easy until I realised I was being taken for a fool by someone who said it but didn't mean it!

Now it's going to be very difficult to say it again.

I've started using B now though
