Which American detective show first premiered on this day in 1974, running for six seasons.

When elected on this day in 1933, Elizabeth Mccombs became the first female member of Parliament of which country

Evening Julie, I will pop out to walk the dog, and then I may pop down to the super Tesco Extra to get some icecream (no longer a 24 hour one since the pandemic, which is a shame, cos at 2.00 in the morning I have been know to do my shopping - or to feel peckish)

North West

Good evening, Julie. Today, the traffic into work was absymal. I tried to do important stuff at work but was foiled by stupid spreadsheets. I went to visit my Dad at hospital tea time. He'd ordered himself cottage cheese and baked beans. That's it. And when I asked if he'd enjoyed his tea, he told me his beef stew was okay. I nodded and smiled.

Felt like a loooooooong drive home in the DARK! Mr KC had lovingly prepared an n'duja pasta dish for our tea and I am now lazily drinking coffee and CBA to move

I pretty much managed Four Meets and a Funeral last weekend hence the quiet one coming up.

I hope the funeral wasn't one of the meets!

The funeral was the not quite bit. Thankfully everyone involved in all stages of the meets lived to tell the tale. No Black Widow here. "

Phew! Although it would make a good film!

"Good evening, Julie.

Mr KC had lovingly prepared an n'duja pasta dish for our tea and I am now lazily drinking coffee and CBA to move "

Good evening Mrs KC, I've noticed the traffic has been awful this week now all the schools are back. I'm glad I can walk to work.

Things sound frustrating with your Dad But at least he has the memory of a tasty Beef stew instead of the horrific reality of baked beans and cottage cheese!

Mr KC is a legend, that dinner sounds delicious

Why do they let people with dementia choose baked beans and cottage cheese? I don't think my Dad has ever eaten cottage cheese before today. Why don't they look at the "menu" choices picked and tactfully suggest a balanced meal? Or just serve them something sensible? Urgh

Pinot or Sauvignon?

Evening Alex. I like your style! It's PJs, rocking chair and IPA here. "

Rocking chair and an IPA. Sounds like a great mix. Is there a fire or are we not there yet? Haha

"Hi there everyone first time on here for me

What you all up too . "

Good evening lets have some fun 1234. Welcome to the forums and the Nocturnal. I'm the hostess with mostess tonight. We're here most evenings from 10pm chatting nonsense. This is a busy thread so it's always worth using the reply+quote so we know who you're talking to.

"Salmon patties,

I feel we need more info Bill! ever hear something, and your mind goes straight to what you heard, crab patties/salmon patties

Well yes. I don't often just type it though, lol!

well, crab wouldn't be my first choice, but salmon patties are a good supper,

Does supper mean dinner for you? Or actual supper, just before bed? dinner/ supper , it depends, if I'm going out to a restaurant it's dinner, at home it's supper

That's an interesting distinction. do I need to re-boot my universal translator?

Not at all. You sound like a posh English person. They say supper when they mean dinner "

most of the time it's"let's go eat"

Crisp being the word! I'm from Spain originally and still not acclimated to the Winter yet haha. Anything to that gets the blood pumping is appreciated during those months

Which is your favourite season and why? Question is open to all

This thread is getting close to 175. If it fills before midnight I'll set a new one going. But I won't be around long after pumpkin time as I have work early tomorrow x
