I look for extra space and if I can drive straight through to the space the other side then even better! Still won’t reverse into a space though

As far from the front door as possible.

Everyone wants to walk as few steps as possible which means a bun fight for the closest space and plenty of people struggle to park between lines, so if you do squeeze into a gap you can't open your frigging doors.

Park the far end of the car park? Loads of spaces. No drama. And no twats dinging your doors when they wrench theirs open.

I look for a blue badge bay. When there isn't one, I swear loudly and have to wait or go somewhere else. Yesterday going to the gym, I had to park on an "end" normal bay and have my gym PT get my wheelchair out before I could reverse in properly. I wouldn't have been able to park without help because there were no wide enough bays (or blue badge bays). My choice then is to not go to the gym at all, or wait ages, if I'm on my own.

I always try to find somewhere that is at least one space away from anyone else as parking spaces haven't gotten any bigger but cars have and a lot of people don't take enough care when getting into their cars and you end up with lots of little dings on your car where they bash your car when getting in theirs

In London whenever there are roadworks or any form of construction/repairs the local authority will usually 'offer up' the blue badge spaces for Skips, Scaffolding lorries or placement of equipment. Pay & Display sections seem to be immune to this type of 'policy'. Odd that...

Yup. Same here. Blue badge bays and on street disabled bays also got snaffled in the pandemic period for extensions to shop frontages and restaurants/cafés, which have never been restored back.

It is in jest, I woundn't use a disabled parking spot, when I'm able bodied. I would be never condone such messed up behaviour...

I look for a two bay space and park diagonally, this way there is always plenty of room to open my door , it makes alighting the vehicle so much easier, I don’t know why more people don’t do it.

When I've just paid £3.5k on a custom re spray, I find a space with empty spots either side of me and put traffic cones in them.

Always drive forward into a space so you can open the boot easily to put your shopping in.

Common sense really!!!!!
