Pride vs Honour

My son asked me today what I thought the difference was between personal pride and honour. He struggled to differentiate between the two and considered them very similar.

I had some difficulty in actually explaining a difference at first. To me, honour is conducting yourself in a way that isn't hypocritical and adheres a to sense of virtue or a moral code (subjective I know!).

Pride I think is that sense of self worth / dignity or accomplishment one feels in their everyday life.

Anyone think differently or similar?
