Are you confident in your skin?

What do you do to feel more confident when you know that that skin is going to be on show?

Carlisle usually

I am.

I'm far from perfect. I have various parts of me that I don't like. But the overall is glorious. And the right lingerie can highlight my favourite parts and hide away the bits I'm not a fan of

Soft lighting helps a lot too.

In private I'm happy being naked and confidant but at a club I'm not confident enough to strip naked in front of lots of people, that may change though as it was putting a smile on my face seeing lots of naked and semi naked people yesterday

Not far

Yes I’m confident in my own skin although now and then I’m a little conscious of my middle aged bloke paunch. I tend to suck it in when I see an attractive woman whilst walking the dog though.

Absolutely not confident in my skin. Would rather keep my clothes on as I get very self conscious when I’m even partly clothed.

I wish I was thinner, I get around it by remembering that by the time I’m at the naked stage with someone, they probably don’t give a fuck about that.

"Are you confident in your skin?

I am me. my argument is " if you don't like it, then don't look at it". I am very confident in my plus size skin

When I got into my 40's I just stopped caring so much how I looked, before my 40's I was really self conscious no way I'd have joined fab and put pics up like I do now. I'm happy in my skin now.

On here and in pics I've no issues at all and I'm more than happy with how I look for my age.

One on one is exactly the same.

I'm never naked in a group so it's not something I have to think about but I would never think about answering the door shirtless and couldn't tell you the last time I was shirtless outdoors even on the hottest days.

It's just something I've never done.

Deepest darkest Peru

I am now

I’ve learnt to like/love the parts of me that ten year ago I would have hated

Wearing nice lingerie, using a good moisturiser helps when I know it’s going to be on show or touched. I have really soft skin for an old bird

Even if it’s not my whole body on show and say for example I’m at a black tie event for work I’ll pay to get my hair pinned up or nails painted, these little things can help with my confidence

My trick is to behave with utter confidence, as I know confidence is sexy. As Adam said, if someone's at the naked stage with me then in theory they've got to find me attractive.

I'm not feeling all that genuinely confident recently, but I think that's a reflection of my emotions, not anything new/different with my actual body and it will pass.

I have up and down days. Some days where I think I look ok and others where I point out the numerous things I think I could improve that I think I'll just always lack. For the most part though I think as long as I'm healthy, that's all that matters.

I'm very self conscious about how I look in my chair. Clothes work differently in the wheelchair and what looks nice stood up briefly can look ridiculous sat down or be utterly impractical.

I feel like I look much fatter sat down and so this also doesn't help. But I'm pretty good at faking it.

I am but it wasn’t always like that.

It’s hard to explain but the easiest way is the moment I hit 50 I stopped giving a fuck and truly completely accepted myself as I have a very strong sense of mortality now then ever.

Erm... I'm getting more confident every day. I wouldn't say I was at all for a few months but now? I'm getting there.

Yesterday I actually showed skin! With a thigh high split and all. I exfoliate during everything showers. Moisturise properly. And then I say fuck it, I'm fat, kind of cute and my skin is a caramel hue. I don't hate that for me.

I'd say we both are getting there to a decent extent metaphorically and technically very at home in our skin (we are naturist in the vanilla world). It's definitely something that becomes easier with age. We have learnt to embrace our weirdness and to understand ourselves far better. Also to be more forgiving of ourselves. Finding each other has helped. It's so valuable to have someone you know loves you, doesn't judge you but is also completely openly honest with you (good and bad). Someone who can also let you know when you're being a dick in a constructive way. Also naturism really does help metaphorically and literally to be comfortable in your own skin. There is a freedom when you can just be you in your bare skin. It's incredibly grounding to realise you are just as human, imperfect and as vulnerable as everyone else and that is 100% OK. We truly think the world would be a more loving, caring and accepting place if more people were naturists.

Nah, not really. But I am more confident in saying fuck it now and wearing what I want not obsessively worrying about what others think of my body. I've got a long way to go before I love myself but I am kind to myself. I am much more than my appearance and life is short.

I am yes. Certainly much much much more than I was in the past. Not a chance I would have postedy recent photos even a year ago.

Now and then I remember that one of the reasons my ex broke up with me was that he didn't find me attractive. But you know what not everyone will. And that is fine.

I am me. My body had done me well. It gives me a huge amount of enjoyment. And I will probably look back at pics of myself in 30 years and think I look hot.

Plus the ex asked me to go back to him 3 times so I can't be THAT unattractive, right?

Lingerie makes me feel sexy. So I choose my fab and wear that under clothes (when it isn't so fucking hot) or on it's own if I am going to a club.

I have a love/hate relationship with my body. Sometimes I'm super confident like doing nude modeling, nude sunbathing and swimming. Other times I want to hide myself away as I think people shouldn't have to look at me

My skin is the least of my worries!

Like others have said, confidence comes and goes. Objectively, I know my body is fine, but there's lots I don't like. I look much better dressed than naked, so tend to be happier that way round too. Nakedness is a 'necessary evil', not my preferred state!
