Tomorrow is our daughters 18th and we have to work, I dont finish till 7.30, so to celebrate we planned a big family meal out.

Our grandaughters are down from northampton till friday when one o our other daughters and son in law take them home, so they could be back for saturday night,.great or so I thought.

Spent the day with them yesterday, then last night get a message from daughter saying they wont be back cos son in law is going to plaster my daughters (northampton) kitchen and wont be back in time.

To say im peeved is an understatement.

One, because daughter (northampton) knew about the meal and secondly because daughter (here) didnt say anything when we arranged and booked the venue.

I have avoided saying too much to them because I dont want to say something in haste.

Sorry needed to get this off my chest.

Life gets in the way of things

I hope you can pull something out of the bag and salvage the evening

And it's nice to have family around
