Hi fabbers, we were wondering if anyone has ever been to Malta for Christmas, not going for swinging but to get out of cooking Christmas dinner, never done it before and on a tight budget so canary island is a no but thinking Malta may be different

Any views fab people?

Doncaster

Been plenty of times but never at Christmas.

Swinging wise it's pretty much non existent. Might be wrong but there's no clubs, no bars where swingers meet and just to put it into context, during the warmer weather there's no topless sunbathing.

Suppose depends what you're looking for really. If you're on a tight budget then it's not the cheapest place to visit.

Have a good stay if you do go.

My parents did Seville got Christmas and I've been to Abu Dhabi one year as well

Would absolutely recommend going away, to any hot country during Christmas time

I've also been to Malta although not for Christmas, absolutely beautiful country with such friendly and beautiful people

Thanks guys

Not a swinging holiday at all, planning on sex with each other for Christmas ha ha

We have a opportunity to get away and like the idea of Malta for a change to the Canary Islands , plus it’s cheaper and hotel looks nice

Thinking of St Paul’s Bay Area

Going to go all inclusive and have it as a Christmas present to each

St Paul's or St Julians. Don't know how much it shuts down over Xmas but normally i find Malta cheap and easy to get around. X we are trying to avoid the complicated drama of who we aee at Xmas... lol

I lived there for years.

Weather is normally good around Christmas with plenty going for a dip that morning.

Quite religious there, so lots of churches for mass if so inclined. Food is good, drink is relatively cheap and everyone speaks English.

Any other questions, happy to help if I can .

Some years ago staid over Xmas at Corinthian beach Hotel St George's Bay .Lovely hotel great food (went half board they upgraded us for the Xmas banquet ) Fantastic feast .

Hotel on local bus service route . Bedroom overlooking bay .

Local buses were operating FOC running up to Christmas so we travelled around island visiting the interesting places .

We did have some rain one day/night .

Maltese people so friendly.

Go and enjoy ..

MALTA

Local here. Weather is generally good over the christmas period. Booze relatively cheap at around 4-5Eur a pint though most restaurants are not that cheap. As to lodging there are some nice places, though st pauls bay would not be my number one choice. Not looking to swing …. There are loads of swingers but no clubs. Small

Population so most engage discreetly

I spent Christmas there a few years ago, I remember some fantastic displays of Xmas lights.

As stated previously Malta has a chilled vibe and has a lot of things to see.

I'm actually part Maltese and I'm there a lot. It's really quite pleasant over Christmas. As others have stated they're quite religious there so there's loads to do with regards to celebrating Christmas. The weather can be a little hit and miss but it's always been pretty nice when I've been there in Dec/Jan, you can even take a dip if it's warm enough

Some great videos on you tube, decided on St Paul’s as not too hilly and hotel looks amazing, getting booked next weekend for our first ever Xmas away just over a grand for all inclusive, we would spend more in taxi rides in the uk

We have just got back , weather was 16 -17 most days ! It’s a lovely place and the buses are 2 euro to anywhere and every 2 minutes, it was nice not having to worship sun but being able to see the different areas , lots of Christmas lights , it was magical for Xmas
