With all this heat we are having what are your best remedies for keeping cool?

Because my god I'm feeling hot! And the cold shower isn't cutting it once I'm out.

The dot in the i

Lay near a fan after a shower while still damp, the water will conduct the cool air better so you core can actually cool too. Stay till you’re a little too cold so when you do warm up, it’ll feel nice and not overwhelmed

Also sit with your feet in water to cool down quickly

And keep some half filled water bottles in the freezer, top off with fresh cold water when you’re ready to drink and they’ll stay cold for a couple of hours

A den in the Glen

Wet your forearms and leave in the breeze. Navy Seal trick adopted by the Army. Your forearms are the body's thermostat sensor to the brain apparently. Does it work? Fuck knows, I just stop working and get as naked as I can.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I always go and stand naked in the freezer aisle in Asda.

Well…I did until I was subsequently banned from the premises at least…

Cool where the blood is closest to the surface of the skin. Where you'd check for a pulse, wrists and neck.

Portsmouth

Similar to suggestions above, run cold water over your wrists.

Worthing

Keep wrists cool. Avoid ice cold drinks. Tastes nice but actually warm you up as body allows for the cold.

Less clothes. Mostly staying in the shade. Plenty of water.

Close curtains and blinds during the day to trap the heat out.

Open them again when the temperature drops to circulate cooler air around the house.
