Cheese and apple isn't particularly unusual. I've seen them on a cheeseboard together.

I used to know a guy who had peanut butter and cheese sandwiches, which I always found rather odd.

I tried baked beans on Weetabix when there was that furore and it was actually decent. I think there's no right way to eat food - if someone likes some unusual combination, more power to them!

Point Nemo, Cumbria

I like a sprinkle of black pepper on strawberries. Also, black pudding or bacon go very nicely with some diced avocado.

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

Hot toast, salty butter and a dollop of good quality vanilla ice cream. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Preston.....ish

Cheese and onion pasty in a bowl with tomato soup on top.

Or

Toast a slice of thick white bread and coat one side with thick cut orange marmalade, top that with mature cheddar cheese and the pop back under the grill to melt the cheese.....

Enjoy because it's tasty AF! But be careful as it's like molten lava !

I haven’t tried any of those combinations together but think the flavour contrasts would work very well

Derby

It's not an *actual* food combo (well, not as far as I know), but I do wonder who thought sweets called “Bananas & Shrimps” was a good combo.

I can imagine it now during the product brainstorming session...

Employee A: “What goes well with bananas?”

Employee B: “Shrimps.”

Employee A: “Great idea! Our job is done.”
