Looks like Sancho and Ten Haag are having a tiff… if they fell out.. I’d have him at the Arsenal for 60 million quid!

Sancho is quality but is wasted under ETH and in that Manchester United team!!

Almost did.. lol

Any since they bought Sancho for 75 ish million.. and united have ruined him… I think 50 million is a reasonable starting point!

Heck he would be better than mudryk and we also ended up spending 90 million on him!!

Not sure what thats based on tbh. 2 years hes been back in english football now, and nothing but bang average. Doesn't appear to have a whole lot to this game as a wide player to justify the reputation, no real pace, no dribbling ability, not particularly strong on the ball. What exactly does he offer?

I seriously question this ETH philosophy!!

Man United midfield is shambolic…Erikson and Casemiro are far too slow and Fernandez and McTominay switching for the RW….bloke has lost his mind!!

First Manager sacking will be him by Christmas!!

Anyone else agree??

I wouldn’t take him at Arsenal. Look at his stats compared to someone we consider a bad signing

Nicolas Pépé at Arsenal:

112 games, 27 goals, 21 assists

Sancho and Antony at Man United:

127 games, 20 goals, 9 assists

Sancho is dusted.

Obviously I wouldn’t start him at arsenal… he’d be the backup winger option for saka and martinelli!!

If we were going to spend 85 million on mudryk… another busted flush! Then I think 30 million the way united have ruined him is fair price

Bit harsh to say United have ruined him. EtH gave him every chance to come good, he eve took 3 months off last season to work on his mental and physical health and was brought back in slowly and he still can't beat a man, has poor decision making and is scared of tackles and still thinks he's being scapegoated. I normally know when United have ruined a player but Sancho is just out of his depth.

They could have probably had another but arteta kinda threw up the “take it easy” bat signal with the subs after an hour!

Was glad to see ESR and Nelson get game time… Tomi is now the left back finisher… and you can see how much havertz is trying! 1 goal to get him started is going to mean the world!

Now the question is … is it raya or ramsdale in goal on Sunday…. Ramsdales distribution is good , but raya’s is next level…..

It's Raya imo, Arteta is being brutal again and Ramsdale with be sold for hard cash eventually I think. No hurry these days though.

Always liked Tomi, I almost forgot we have Timber long-term injured. And Partey and Martinelli out too - but we can survive these injuries now and still semi-carry a new midfielder! Havertz did look more comfortable today, but I've started to call him Sky Havertz though! He needs to learn how to relax, but at east he *looked* more relaxed and involved today. I agree, give him time.

I think he might surprise us and play ramsdale, my logic if you call it is we are moving away from a number one in every position, it’s likely they will swap positions regularly, they looked very clinical tonight, Man City like at times which is promising but I also think the raya ramsdale thing is all media, ramsdale plays just as well and surely can’t be relegated to carabao cup games etc, anyhoos good start, nice to see smith Rowe on the pitch too

Goalies keep saying that doesn't work for goalies, that's the thing. Ramsdale didn't look all that happy tonight and he's already been no.1 (and deserves to be one) - it's not the usual case of a second really goods goalie.

But who knows what's in Arteta's mind? He has called them both two 'number ones', but it looks like he won't be drawn on how it's going to work out in the games. I'd have expected Ramsdale to start tonight, but he didn't.

I don’t think anyone feels happy being on the bench.. I bet they all believe they should be playing!

The annoying thing for me ish…. Is because the back 4 have been so good (or in Everton case there attack was piss poor) in the last 2 games, we actually haven’t seen raya have to make difficult saves!

We have seen the distribution side…. But until he basically has a worldie.. or goes “onana” we are going to keep asking the question!

Newcastle and Gateshead

I was watching a brilliant video today featuring arsenal and spurs fans ahead of the NLD tomorrow and they were posed a question….

Would you take winning the champions league…. If it meant the other lot winning the premier league!

Every spurs fan said “in a heartbeat!” … every arsenal fan said “not a chance! “

So… asked this question and as an Arsenal fan a lot of swear words came out…

Are we just being mean? I think I’ve worked out I get as much joy out of spurs being “spursy!”

They just know we can win the league and they can't (now till whenever most likely - they were 'supposed' to play the more exciting football). Why would any gooner change that? It's a no brainer, if just to lessen the top 4 competition.

Give them a champions league (of the two) - if they can sneak into Europe! No matter what, we'll always get a totteringham hotspur show to laugh at in the prem.

(how spursy to actually do better without Kane btw - I feel almost-insanely certain we will sweep them aside though!)

Spurs last win at the emirates… 2006

In fact spurs have only won at arsenal once in the last 30 years!

Today just feels like a day for a proper humping!!!.. and it’s always an unlikely scorer( bacary sagna, Tomas rosicky a few times, Lucas toriera.. remember him!!) and a spurs sending off!!

Today just feels like a 4-1/5-1 for some reason… and take the bet for a spurs player to be sent off…..

I think today’s offender may be Romero

We weren't good enough overall today. Great for half an hour, and could/should have killed the game, but didn't create enough in the 2nd half.

I hate to say it but we do need that classic centre forward, even just to bring on at times like this. All those corners but no one specific to aim at (or just disrupt in that way). We actually rely on players like Martinelli when he's right in there (and fit of course) and Rice/Havertz to add their height/skill here. We just had Havertz left and maybe Nelson wasn't the right player to bring on this time - a classic no 9 could maybe should have won us the game. Maybe they can see that now.

Why do you hate to say it? Nothing wrong with needing a centre forward! Doesn't need to be an immobile lump, but we lack a killer instinct. I love Eddie, but he's not quite at the top level...

I think that was probably more of a priority in the summer than £65m on Havertz, but in Arteta we trust!

Those are very hard to come by unfortunately unless you're willing to put a bit of patience into them or unearth a gem. We spent the better part of 70mil on Hojlund based on potential, and can't see where the next big centre forward move is coming from.

Only because we've spent so much already (I wasn't sure about Havertz either - but a Xhaka 2 would be fine as he was huge last year), I was hoping Eddie would broaden his game.. and crucially - we need to win games like this!!

We are now 4 points behind City, so a win against them (not an easy job anyway) cannot take us past them. We are now 5th in the league too. A sudden loss (or another draw) would not be good for us, and goal difference will factor heavily one year too. All games need goals, and Arteta needs to strengthen again ASAP if we keep getting injuries all the time.

I was hoping already we had the winning team this year, I think above all that's why I hate to say it! City are so strong that I'm not certain we do now. We still need Jan or a loan.

Maddison would have been no more a xhaka replacement than havertz is… we would still have been crying up for a box to box midfielder

If trossard isn’t injured we all know Jesus would have played the 9… so does this mean we need a striker light or generally a left sided midfielder/winger light?

We got Rice and kept Partey though. We either need a full-on Eddie update (not easy as people say, and I like Eddie), or just someone tall and direct we can bring in in games like this.

We were clearly short for the last period of this game - we've been unlucky with knocks for sure, but that's not really supposed to happen now.

I think we're a striker light because Jesus can be effective from the left, alongside all the others, but will never be a clinical striker (as much as I love him).

As Joe said, I know we're not about to unearth a Haaland any time soon, but I'm not sure Eddie's quite good enough, and I reckon there was an upgrade out there if we'd looked for it in the summer. But it's a strong squad so I'm still upbeat!

I saw that! I hate Liverpool but couldn't believe they didn't draw the lines from it. You could tell from the lines on the pitch that Diaz was on!

Can't be bothered to read through all the nearly 175 responses but has anyone pointed out until now that it should be kick 'off'?

"Have to admit klopp kept it calmer on MOTD than I would have do…

Spurs fans are seriously circling the wagons this morning… they know they got away with one but can’t bring themselves to admit it…

I feel most sorry for the punter who apparently lost out on 10k because he had Dias being 1st goal scorer on his acca "

I think he's got fed up saying things in the heat of the moment and getting fined.

Its crazy that managers are contracted to give media interviews after a game, if they refuse, they are fined.

If they come on and say how they really feel, they are fined.

While refrees and officials can hide behind a wall of silence and let PGMOL give a statement.

"PGMOL once again apologises to a team for making a huge error… this time to Liverpool

They are admitting that the Luis Diaz goal should not have been ruled out for offside… var failed to overturn the original decision made on the pitch

Latest am reading on Skysports. The VAR officials thought the referee had awarded the goal, and just said check complete. Thinking that it was 1-0 to Liverpool.

Then when they realised that it was being ruled offside the told the referee or kept silent. But apparently the referee can't overturn the decision one the game has been restarted.

Its a can of worms made worse by the lack of transparency.

Rugby, Tennis and Cricket all seem to do a much better job with less money than football.

"I support Coventry not had the best starts to the season considering we were one kick away from being back in the Premiership last season…….hopefully we’ll get 3 points today far too many draws so far but still in a better position than we were this time last season so hopefully things will come good and the team will gel soon

Great result for you today!!! "

Indeed but the referee was diabolical
