Have you ever fallen asleep at the cinema? It’s only happened once to me and that was watching Star Wars The Phantom Menace.

God yes. Most recently Avengers Endgame. God, that was nonsense.... Fell asleep on a school trip to watch Schindler's Lift, sat next to my English teacher. He was very tolerant....

Yes. Pokémon the Movie was so incredibly boring that I was bashing out the zeds in no time at all, despite the soundtrack being so loud that my internal organs were vibrating

Back in my late teens early 20s when we used to go to the cinema a lot, yes!

Two notable cases were, during a post-midnight screening of Tarkovsky's Solaris, when I roused there was someone snoring quite loudly in another row so that made me feel better about it.

And during a matinee of the English Patient, my boyfriend wanked me off and the film was so long and slow I slumbered into a post-orgasmic nap!

Yep. We were in Liverpool and went to the midnight showing of the spoof comedy Hot Shots!

But I guess maybe about quarter of an hour in or so I must have nodded off and I awoke about ten mins before the end.

I simply said I thought it was pretty funny... much to the amused annoyance of my friends who all said they found the film cheezy and boring with the best gags being the ones I was actually awake for to see!

Yeah. A film called Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. About 30s mobster John Dillinger. Directed by Michael Mann.

You'd think, with all those ingredients, it would be impossible to make a boring film. Yet, they did it...

I am the worse person to watch a film with at the cinema. Before the film starts I fall asleep. Every time. I wake up when whomever I’ve gone with asks what I thought of the film.

I’ve started calling the cinema my nap time.

I took a woman friend to the cinema quite a few years ago now and she drank a couple of bottles of red wine in Frankie and Benny's before hand with our meal and fell asleep during the film . Unfortunately she snored quite loudly so I had to keep elbowing her to make her wake up.

Twice (that I remember!)

101 Dalmatians with the kids.

And once in a cinema near the Taj Mahal in India (the real place not a curry house). I was watching a Bollywood movie in Hindi, we had curry during the intermission and the chair tilted right back to a proper snooze position.

Of course I fell asleep! But not to worry, I woke up in time for the hero to win the fight and get the girl! WooHoo! Then the end credit dance.
