Is it right??

Has anyone claimed... Made a claim, been sued, wanna sue.....

I just think the petty ones... and some of the medical ones just rob the pot and everyone else ends up paying... Theres only so much and if its handed out theres less to treat the truly ill and needy eh..

Saying that... if I got run over... I'd milk the twats dry.. Hypocrisy at its finest lol.

I think it’s quite sad how many people want something for nothing and milk the system (ultimately passing on the costs of running the dairy of life to the rest of us through the premiums we pay). It makes genuine people feel guilty about claiming for what they really do deserve.

Mind you – now they have machines to test pain response and muscle resistance for all the fake whiplash and back pain claims, the scroungers are moving on to good old psychiatric injury as opposed to just physical. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is the new black in terms of dodging working for a living.

What about the woman who sued McDonalds because the coffee was too hot!!!

I can understand her moaning if it was too cold, phraps it's just me.

It really is a shame common sense is becoming far less common.

i put a claim in this year from getting knocked off my bike by a van, was a push bike, id just been to the gym and as it was a nice day id got the bike out and peddled there, was on my way home and as i was going down the main road, was in a cycle lane i may add, a car just came right out one of the side roads, didnt slow down, stop or anything for me, i was lucky to escape only with a fractured pelvis, but yeah i put a clain im mainly because i just get sick of cars who simple dont see bikes or they think your not important enough to stop for, maybe now he'll make sure theres noone there before he pulls out again

I used to manage guys doing various street works and we used to get loads of claims when working in some areas and less in others.

Normally it consisted of some work shy scroat claiming they had slipped on something (empty bag ect) after we had gone home

I used to check all round every night so i knew these nice folks must have been stealing the bags ect for later use.

Our company kept just paying out so as not to have to go to court and make us look bad to the council ect.

After 6 months and many payouts i set up a camera to film the area and only after the second night did we catch someone laying the bag on the floor then stepping on it and falling on the ground.

Once the claim came in i made sure everyone knew that i had filmed it and within hours of me showing a local guy the tape the case was dropped and we never had any further problems around South Sheffield for the following 2 years.

"Theres a list of them on line somewhere"

And it's headed by an American (say no more) woman who successfully sued Winnebago after putting her nice new motorhome on cruise control and popped into the back to make a cuppa. Perhaps unsurprisingly said motorhome crashed because she thought the cruise control steered the vehicle too.

Winnebago had to alter their owners manuals to note that it only controlled the speed

i am doing something like that at the moment, but the most hassle i have had of lawyers is not understanding i dont want any money, i want a sorry and to reconsise they was wrong and to stop it happening again, it took me ages to find someone to help me who did not mind that i was not going after blood money.

In open areas I think it's still the case you can fit cctv for 2 weeks before notifying employees... as long as the police are aware and is being used to prevent a crime.

its all about money for them, the more money they get you the more they get paid so its in their interest to get you as much as possible, personally if i had felt someone had done me wrong id go for as much money as i could and give it to charity if i didnt want it, money is always where it hits people the most, so hit them where it hurts

not sure how it works in a work place but i was going to get some cctv fitted at home because of pronlems we was having with the neighbours, i looked into it properly and was told in no uncertain terms that if i filmed anyone, even on my own propertly, without their permission i would be breaking the law

A number of years back I had the police fit cctv in works canteen... they said I could have the cams their for 2 weeks before I needed to put signs up.

As for on your own property... plenty of councils encourage people to film anti-social behaviour to gather evidence. I guess it depends on a number of factors... though the main is to do with the expectation of privacy in certain areas.

i was told i wasnt allowed to film anyone without their permission, maybe its because it was the kids i was after catching, the little fecker they was, they just kept coming onto my back yard and setting it on fire, smashing it up, jumping over the fence and hitting my little girl to the point my back yard was a no go zone, but as i couldnt prove anything the council was un willing to help so i deceded to film them and was told out right no you cant do that, maybe they have different laws to protect children over such matters im not sure

Some of you will think this is very wrong i know but it sure sorted the problem quick

Many years ago when the lad was about 12, a gang of lads led by 1 15yo started hanging around our street and a few times stopped my lad and threatened to various stuff to him. Over a 2 week period it got worse and worse until they did him some physical harm. When i got home i went to "speak" to these lads but unfortunatly they ran off but i did see the ringleader slip into his house so i followed and knocked on the door. The door was opened by a local taxi driver who claimed he did not speak english thus preventing me having it out with him. Unfortunatly after a short while i lost my temper and hit him really hard in the mouth then said give that to your kid and walked off.

Not the greatest way to sort something out but it was very effective cos we never had any further trouble.

Also done the same for my kids, most recent was for the youngest who has been bullied mercilessly by two boys for years, I eventually snapped, one mother was punched out to my ultimate shame outside the school gates, I was charged by her but as all the other parents observed her assaulting me first we were both warned by the procurator fiscal and bound over.

The second mother was 'sorted' outside her house on a dark night with no witnesses.

I'm not proud of my behaviour, especially when seen to be reinforcing bullying in the eyes of my child, but sometimes it's a case of retaliate like with like instead of turning the other cheek for years.

And yes, these boys now know whatever they do to my son I will do to their mother so leave him well alone.
