"It's not acceptable. It is a form of body shaming but I think sometimes people believe it's the best way to show their preference for one thing - by stating how much they dislike the opposite, not celebrating and focusing on what they do like. Like profiles where they say I don't want x, y and z and are caps locky and very angry. It's daft and makes no sense. Fab isn't a competition." Morning Meli. The angry caps are just rude aren't they, I don't think people genuinely realise how much they body shame while trying to state preferences, I like ketchup but I don't bash brown sauce, there's just no need. "Every person will have their own hang ups about their body. Things they like, dislike, regardless of shape, size. We are our own worst critics so no-one needs other criticising them too. K" Completely agree, there's people of all shapes and sizes here they all should feel welcomed. Mrs

"It is never right to body shame anyone at anytime ever. I think some of this is rooted in the way Fab is. In general I think outside of Fab it is unlikely a slim woman will be told oh you have no curves that is bad. But in life outside and inside of Fab larger people do get snide remarks about their weight. And I think wrongly some assume because larger women explain how it makes them feel on here, they try to make them feel better. It's not the correct way of doing it and I often ask people to stop thin bashing on here. I think maybe we need more threads by slim women saying it from their perspective. Then people maybe more aware of what they are doing. " I can't say I'm very slim anymore, but I'll give you my side. From my teens until mid 30's I was a size 6-8 I was constantly shamed by other women mainly, even some medical professionals, told to just go eat a cake/burger or whatever other snide remark they could think at the time, I remember thinking I'd never dream of telling a large lady to just diet so why is it appropriate to do it to me. I was extremely insecure about my weight I didn't feel as feminine my tits were like little tea bags. I tried to go to the drs to help with weight gain due to the ridiculous amount of comments I'd receive, they themselves found it appropriate to tell me to eat (like I hadn't tried that) When you are already self conscious, trying your best to change it to have people think it ok to comment on your shape or lack of it is horrendous. "Why is it always a choice? Curvy or skinny? Since when does a slim woman not have curves, their hips, boobs and arse don't count? Not womanly enough? Why is it always big one up by bashing the other down? If it was the other way around it would cause a lot of negativity but it's ok to bash the slim women, there not allowed confidence issues, apparently have no curves, don't have a womanly body, I've heard it all. So you curvy lovers that have to be negative about smaller body shapes I hope you get poked in the eye! There's preference and there's body shaming! Morning all btw. Mrs " Who said its always a choice? Though i do agree at times the slimmer ladies get a rough time of it..probably one reason is because they are in a minority.? .but ive never seen it as you must choose one or t'other. A lot of comments on here seem to be agenda led though. What can i say that will ingratiate me to the most vaginas.?

"And the latest comment - "curves, only dogs like bones" Why?! Just why?! People are so rude and disrespectful Mrs " Guess I'm a dog because I love a good boning People are shitty about a lot of things. It's strange how socially acceptable it is to talk about bodies that way.

"It’s honestly vile. I can’t even read those types of threads anymore. I used to comment and then realised it was less of a chance for people to state their body type preference, and more of a chance for people who felt they belong to stick the finger up to anyone who doesn’t. What happened to women championing women no matter what they look like. It’s very sad. " I shouldn't have read that post today tbh, I'm thinking enough of the forums for one day. Women definitely should big each other up regardless of shape, unfortunately it seems the women are the ones more likely to body shame others. Mrs

"When you are already self conscious, trying your best to change it to have people think it ok to comment on your shape or lack of it is horrendous. Mrs " I agree with all you wrote but I’ve just highlighted this bit. The truth is that most women are incredibly self conscious and we should be doing things to stop it, not keep it going. I know that some men are too, which should be all the more reason to not do it.

This post has cheered me up because I can see there are people that feel how I do about bodies and supporting each other.

Mrs " I have family who have similar experiences. Its led to emotional problems and eating disorders. Fucking terrible the way especially slimmer folks are talked about by some people. Including twatty so called medical professionals. Try buying clothing size 4 6 or 8 or a AA bra....

Mrs " I hear you, it is never right to be mean and nasty about anybody's size or shape. People will always comment though, it doesn't make it right. The messages I get on here about my weight sometimes hit really hard, especially since I had eating disorders as a teen and young adult. People can be horrible, we can raise awareness and try if possible to increase our own resilience to these utter arseholes.

"Nobody is perfect as they say, some girls are straight and down some curvey. All are delicious in there own way , and all are someone's desire. Love them all , not a bad one amongst them . Variety is the spice of life " There’s no need to love them all though. And variety isn’t the spice of life for some people. Nobody’s saying love them all. Just have some common sense in what you say! (The generic you that is, not you you )

"I thought if you said it’s a preference on fab you don’t have to care about how it makes others feel? " It has nothing at all to do with preference it’s the wording that people use .Comparing skinny people to skeletons /dog bones they have no tits you might snap them etc etc .. Everyone is entitled to a preference you just don’t have to be a twat about it ..

"I avoid them posts as it always ends up being us vs them .Everyone is entitled to a preference but theirs really no need to put others down when describing it. I find us women are more guilty of the bitchy and spiteful comments aimed towards other women.Men will do it to gain favour in a post where as women will do it sneakily . I have heard about groups being made with the sole purpose of being nasty towards certain women. " I have to agree it does seem like the women are the ones knocking each other down unfortunately, not that the men are completely blame free on this occasion. Mrs

Even worse if you make hot pics. You just get labelled an attention seeker. The one I hate is the fake boobs body shaming. They even title the threads and posts with the word fake used and think that's ok. Say fake to a cancer patient I'm pretty sure it's very wrong. Say fake to a trans I'm pretty sure it's wrong, but it's fucking fine to say it if you did it with no good reason for it other than apparently doing it for male attention. Which is clearly why I kept mine covered up for a decade Don't be slim and have fake boobs. Rant over. I could go on, trust me

I won't lie after my 1st with my empty teabags I wanted a boob job, unfortunately couldn't get one, luckily the weight gain gave me boobs too. I just never understand how it's ok to shame someone for how they look and try and state it preference..... Nope it's fucking rude. Mrs

K" Totally agree with this and what the OP said to. I have seen some extremely detrimental comments oh some threads especially against slim women which has been uncalled for. We are all human beings, different shapes and sizes and yes all have our preferences but there is no need to add the shaming one against the other
