If you want to express appreciation purely as a nice gesture, go for it, you do you. But don't be disheartened when many assume it's the same vapid nonsense that many others use to try and get their foot in the door

How would you do it OP? the fab button either gets looked at or for some they don't look. Private messages may work if you respect the filters, but as said above, messages of compliments are a nice gesture but possibly will be ignored. So how would you do it?

Women can never receive enough compliments. Even though we don’t meet single men, and we do get lots of messages from them, it still brightens my day considerably when I receive compliments.. it also serves to remind my man that he is a lucky guy

If you want to compliment, I would say go ahead. But the male/female imbalance does mean that those of us not as fortunate looking as others, still get loads of messages. You can get quite jaded by them, sometimes you just block delete. So the compliments maybe lost. So however a message is presented be it the most flowery compliment or the blunt 'when do you want to meet?' returned conversation or banter is never guaranteed however, sincere of lovely the compliment maybe.
